Social media is something that has been around ever since the 1970s. It all started when the telegraph was invented. The telegraph allowed people to send messages anywhere across the country faster than it could be delivered by hand. Giving people the opportunity to deliver news, messages, and stay connected. Throughout the year’s social media has evolved significantly, and now it’s something that it’s used every day by 78% of people that live in the United States (1). I am a user of social media, and throughout the years I have experienced many bad times while using it. Everything from bullying, frauds, and harassment. This are some of the reasons why I strongly agree that social media is harmful and should be restricted to those who aren’t ready to use it.

Yes, there might be some misleading information, but they are more helpful information that is true than fake information. For example, when it comes to medical research and patients searching up personal symptoms social media is a quick and very helpful place to acquire this information.
