In my opinion, the best lesson is actions have consequences for the story At The Beach. The reason I believe this is because consequences do not just affect one person they affect others too. For example, say your little cousin comes over to play and you tell him I am going to tell you something but you can’t tell the adults. Well he tells his cousin that he has stolen a cookie out of the cookie jar three days this week and he has not got caught before. He tells his cousin that they should steel 2 cookies this time, but try not to be loud because I don't want to get caught this time. But then his mom comes out of the dining room and catches them both getting a cookie. The little cousin says I am so sorry it was his idea not mine,
The lesson I appreciated the most is that one should not give up on something they believe in, just
What life lesson we can we can learn from her story? We can learn how to have courage , and be strong ,and become a survivor for anything that might happen. Bethany movie “Soul Surfer.” Describes everything in this essay. But Bethany might inspired me to start surfing. Hopefully I won’t get bit by a shark. I like Bethany
The three friends learn valuable lessons from the experience they went through; never judge a book by it’s cover, never underestimate their opponents and most importantly, there truly is a difference between a bad character and a bad character wanna-be.

So the lesson is to make decisions that are made on an even keel. Sammy’s journey to becoming more of a young adult is a reminder that thinking through life altering decisions is a big priority where Sammy will never forget to do. Although quitting a job for a group of girls is not that important the principle of not letting other people interfere with how you run your life. Immaturity is the way some readers have interpreted Sammy, but it’s quite on the contrary. Society has taught us that we learn from our mistakes, some mistakes are life altering and others are used to glean information for use in the
One reason this concept for punishment is ineffective is because many people have no regard for consequences. Some people don't think about the fact that there are payments that need to be paid for every action that is made. There should be many things in peoples lives that discourages them from
A punishment that penalizes without forestalling is indeed called revenge. It is a quasi-arithmetical reply made by society to whoever breaks its primordial law. That reply is as old as man; it is called the law of retaliation. Whoever has done me harm must suffer harm; whoever has put out my eye m...
On the other hand many parents think that sending your child to jail for a day is a terrible idea. The first thing is that they learn there lesson at jail if they are doing something bad. Many kids learn their lesson from others being rude or mean to them. The second reason is that many people think that it is a bad thing to send them to jail for a day because they will be scarred for life and maybe never want to speak to you again. The good thing of sending their kids to jail is that they learn many lessons and they also give them warning and consequences if they do something wrong. In a movie that I don't remember the name of I saw a girl who wouldn't clean or do what her mother would say so she sarcastically said “Ok then if you won't do what I want you to do then I will send you to jail for not listening to me” and the kid always cleaned her room and listened to her mother. In conclusion, people think that sending their children to jail is a good idea so they learn their lesson. Then other parents don't like that because they might not talk to you because you sent them to jail and that they are very harsh on kids that do stuff
There are numerous moral lessons in the movie Forrest Gump. The extremely simple minded main character teaches viewers that you never know what life may throw your way. The creators of Forrest Gump did an excellent job relaying these messages to the audience by making them easy to understand. Forrest Gump captivates the audience with his childlike way of thinking. It is clear from the beginning of the movie that Fo...
...make one feel better but can also lead to a solution. Using consequences help the children have a sense of responsibility.
As a final point, everyone is entitled to use whatever form of punishment they deem fit on their children, but if the child knew that spanking was in the package, they would take their parents more seriously. They would be more cautious of the decisions they made. People might call this fear, but fear sometimes makes people stronger. Each time we face our fear, we gain courage, confidence and strength. It is fear of going to jail that make us obey the laws of our country and hence make us better citizens. This same analogy can be applied in terms of “the spanking of a child”. The fear of being spanked makes us respect and obey our parents, therefore actually creating a good parent and child relationship contrary to what the “other side” may think.
Knowing that the age of criminal responsibility is at the age of 10 can make children think twice about the consequences to their actions. Not only that, both parents and teachers alike will need to put a greater effort in teaching their children the negative outcomes committing a crime can lead to. In September of 2013, an eleven-year old was arrested by a police officer for the sexual assault of a thirteen-year old girl. The eleven-year old knew that he would not be charged because of his age, and said to the police officer who arrested him; “You got me. So what are you gonna do?” This child was well aware that nothing can be done to punish him for this action, and he is most certainly not the only kid in the world who knows this. If the age was criminal responsibility was lowered to 10, this child could have been punished for what he did and he would know that he couldn’t get away with this again. Unfortunately, the age of criminal responsibility wasn’t 10, and the child was able to get away with committing sexual assault, and could do it again knowing that nothing can be done to stop
Naturally, people do not want to get in trouble. We are all born with a conscience of what is right or wrong without being told. Just like a child does not have to be taught how to lie they just know how to quickly cover a bad decision. Anything to avoid any amount of harm to ourselves. As we become adults we are shaped by our parents teachings, decisions we make, and the praise or punishments we
... parents are just as bad as their children. Parents tell their child to bully another or threaten another. “If this happens, they should be held accountable. Parents need to be parents, and not be their child's friends! With saying this it will teach their children the appropriate way to act and not make the parent suffer and look bad in the future.
