Comprehensive Sexual Education

Sex is something that all animals engage in and that is definitely not something to be ashamed of, though often times it is. In the U.S. from a young age we are told that sex is something not to be talked about, almost as if it is a bad word. This becomes the normality in societies way of thinking about sex, that we shouldn’t be able to talk about our sexual occurrences.

This thought of sex being bad perpetuates into our teen years making it hard to go to a reliable adult to get the right protection. And take careful precautions aren’t taken the risk of getting STDs/STIs or unexpected pregnancies are doubled. To prevent these life changing events is an education; It is a basic right for people to know how to protect themselves. For instance would you send someone out in the vast jungle with no protection from the elements, I think not. So why would you let a sexually promiscuous teenager into the world with no knowledge about protecting themselves from unprotected sex. This is why all schools in the U.S. need to have a comprehensive sexual education program that

did not have a comprehensive sexual Ed program, some indiviuals may not know that their sexual partner forced them to do something and it could be considered rape. Many teen have done something sexual that may have not considered sexual but it is. A comprehensive sexual education program would benefit to teens as empowerment against sexual assault. Every 98 seconds, a person in the U.S. is sexually assaulted. As a person who strongly believes in the promotion against sexaul assualt, this is one of the most important lessons for someone to learn at a younger age. This is because when you learn about healthy relationships and have examples of them you can see what is acceptable for maintaining a prosperous relationship. Instead of letting someone get you out of your sexaul comfort zone and pushing you to do things you are extremely uncomfortable with. Which is considered to least extent
