Mongoose are Fascinating creatures that are cute and fuzzy but are also very fierce. Their favorite things to do are kill and fight snakes while looking around at everything. There are two versions of Rikki Tikki Tavi, the book and the movie. They are very close to the same but there are some differences that are noticeable. Both of these stories are fun and exciting, they draw the reader/watcher in and transfix them. The book Rikki Tikki Tavi is about a mongoose who saves a human family from snakes. In the beginning Rikki Tikki is washed away from his home in a flood, then is rescued by humans. He decides to stay and meets Nag and Nagaina ,two king cobras who try to kill him. The young boy who saved Rikki finds him in the garden but Karait a deadly but small snake shows up and Rikki kills him to save the boy Teddy. Later Nag and Nagaina get into the house to kill the humans and Rikki finds out, he is fighting Nag when the man shoots Nag and kills him. Rikki goes out the next day and destroys all Nagaina’s eggs. Nagaina goes to the humans and is going to bite the Teddy but Rikki starts to fight her. They go down a hole and Rikki comes up victorious and Nagaina is dead. He goes back to the people's house and they are thankful for him. Rikki then on protects the garden from snakes forever. These two versions of the story of Rikki Tikki Tavi are great, and fun to read or watch. They both draw in the attention of the reader or watcher to make it exciting. There are differences in them though they are small. If a fast paced exciting story with a good visual is wanted then watch the movie. If a easy paced story where there is time to take in what is happening and envision the characters and the scenes is wanted, read the story. Both choices are great and will definitely entrance the

A mongoose is a furry creature from India who kills cobras or other types of snakes and if its eyes get red, the mongoose is mad. Also the mongoose is a curious creature It is strange how similar the book is in the movie. Some of these similarities are the conflicts, the resolution and the rising action.
Rikki-tikki is proud of himself because he helps the animals and the humans by killing the snakes or dangerous animals. The humans first find him after the flood washes him out of his berrow. Teddy wants to give him a funeral but his mom seas that maybe he isn't dead. He helps a bird and he helps the humans. On Page 16 “Teddy shouted to the house: “Oh look here! Our mongoose is killing a snake.“ On Page 18 and 19 Rikki-tikki killed Nag, “The big man picked up Rikki-tikki and he had said it's the mongoose again, Alice: the little chap has saved our lives now.” Teddy's father, the big man beats the snakes after Rikki bites the snakes to make sure the snakes are dead. Rikki kills the eggs in the melon bead so that there aren't little Cobras around
These differences are here so that the film is more understandable for the audience it is aimed at, if the film showed what actually happened, it would be a lot more gruesome, and would have probably have been rated 15 by the BBFC. To conclude, both media portray the same story, but they are aimed at different audiences, if you are looking for all of the information about Pocahontas, the literature is what you need, if you want an entertaining movie, watch the film.
“The Rattler” explores the conflicts between man and nature that seem inescapable. The narrator is taking a walk through the desert when he comes across a rattlesnake. After some thought, he decides to kill it and proceeds to violently slaughter it with a hoe. The snake fights back when provoked, but fails. The author makes the reader feel sympathy towards the snake and empathy towards the man through the personality of the snake, the point of view of the man, and the language and details regarding the setting.

The book, Written By Rudyard Kipling, and the movie, produced by Julie Ross, generally both carry the same plot and main idea: After being washed out of his home, and cared for by a loving family of three, he wants to repay them, and in the process does an unforgettable act of service. Though both the mediums were exciting, there were also numerous similarities and differences between the book, and the movie, such as the banana scene, the scene where the family first found him, and the resolution.

Also, both the story and the movie have REALLY bad endings! They aren’t very similar, but they both leave you hanging. When you see a movie or read a book you want to know what happens to the main characters. In these two, you didn’t get an ending. They left you hanging and for some people that ruins it all.

For example, educators can tell children that the kangaroos and snake people who have red eyes reveal that they are evil, so that children can understand that adding more details in both writing and speaking can provide more information for audiences and the explicit language is very effective in constructing the meaning. “The Rattler” is a story that is written by Donald Beattie that expresses a survival and protective tone to persuade readers to side with the man that killed the snake in order to protect a larger community of animals and humans. Beattie is presenting the story to a large group of people in attempt to persuade them. Beattie uses imagery, simile, and pathos to develop a root of persuasion and convince the audience to reanalyze the man’s actions.

In conclusion, details involving the characters and symbolic meanings to objects are the factors that make the novel better than the movie. Leaving out aspects of the novel limits the viewer’s appreciation for the story. One may favor the film over the novel or vice versa, but that person will not overlook the intense work that went into the making of both. The film and novel have their similarities and differences, but both effectively communicate their meaning to the public.
Many people assume that the book and movie of the same story are always very similar, but they are incorrect. In my comparison of the short story Rikki-tikki-tavi by Rudyard Kipling and the movie of Rikki-tikki-tavi, I found them to be rather different. There were many minor differences, but the three main topics in the short story that clearly differentiate it from the movie are the setting, the character traits, and the use of humor.
This paper will compare Gordon W. Prange's book "At Dawn We Slept - The Untold Story of Pearl Harbor" with the film "Tora! Tora! Tora!" directed by Richard Fleischer, Kinji Fukasaku, and Toshio Masuda. While the film provides little background to the attack, its focal point is on the Pearl Harbor assault and the inquiry of why it was not prevented, or at least foreseen in adequate time to decrease damage. Prange's book examines the assault on Pearl Harbor from both the Japanese and American viewpoints to gain a global view of the situation and the vast provision undertaken by Japanese intelligence. The film and book present the Japanese side, the American side, the events that lead up to the attack, and the aftermath.
From reading the book and watching the movie, I think the book was more insightful, but the movie was more entertaining. The only problem with the movie is that you don't know what is going through Chance's mind and his background information. The movie does help make some things clearer by seeing it, instead of just picturing it in your mind. The added scenes in the movie helps to put some humor into the story and make it more entertaining. By just watching the movie, some people could be confused if they don't know some background on Chance. I think that by reading the book, you can understand the story better and by watching the movie you can enjoy the story better.
I perfer the movie version because it has more action and I enjoy action filled movies. What I especailly like about the movie is the sacrifice scene because its so dramatic with the townspeople rushing around and Andromeda willing to sacrifice herself to save the people who don 't even care about her or havent even gave it a thought they just automatically say kill her. Another reason I like the movie is the Medusa scene because nobody who watches greek mythology based movies know exactly what she looks like and this movie probably gives a believable version of her. My preference is because from reading the story then watching the movie its creative on how they put it togther without making it look like a horrible
