Have you ever wondered what are the origins of Tsunamis and Rogue Waves? Rogue waves and tsunamis are both destructive waves. They can come without warning and destroy everything in their path. Rogue waves and tsunamis have some similarities, but when diving deep into the depths of the ocean, anyone can see how different they are. Rogue waves are waves that form in the middle of the ocean that can be found in the dark depths of the sea. First, rogue waves are ‘freak waves’ that can appear out of nowhere. Tsunami waves are monsters, slowly crawling up on you near the beach. First, tsunamis are waves that are 1000 foot clusters of waves that form around coastlines. This matters because it shows how and where tsunamis form, in locations such as, Coastlines, Shorelines, and the Pacific Ocean. The text says most likely, meaning that there are other places where tsunamis may occur. Additionally, tsunamis are mostly caused by earthquakes, “Most tsunamis are triggered by underwater earthquakes” (Suborn, 61). This shows that not just the earthquake causes the tsunami to form.
