Recommended: Different causes for the attack on pearl harbor

Does Pearl harbor and 9/11 have things in common? Why did these two events happen? What wars were connected? Pearl Harbor and 9/11 were both very tragic events that changed America and it’s people. The events had many similarities and differences. Both were unprovoked attacks, public opinion was changed and many exaggerated fears of follow-up attacks. And both were successfully carried out by the terrorist. 9/11 was carried out by al Qaeda terrorist from an Islamist extremist group from Afghanistan. And Pearl harbor was carried out by Japanese ships under command of Admiral Chuichi Nagumo. Even though these events have much in common they also are totally different.

First of all, the attack on Pearl harbor happened about 60 years before 9/11. The attack on pearl harbor happened in the morning, it was one of the shortest attacks, it started at 7:00am and ending about 10:00am. Only 200 miles from Oahu where the navel …show more content…

The attack on pearl harbor costed millions of dollars towards damage and rebuilding. With 9/11 al Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City. The third plane reached the pentagon in Washington D.C. The first hijacked planes bored at 7:00am and through searching for survivors and cleaning debris went on till the next morning. Then President at the time George Bush addressed the nation at 8:30 pm. “This is a day when all Americans from every walk of life unite in our resolve for justice and peace. America has stood down enemies before, and we will do so this time.
