Automatic or manual car, which is a better choice for me? How do they work? Which one should I buy? Why? I’m sure these are questions you have asked yourself when searching for the new car that you’re inspired to buy. Both, an automatic and a manual car make great vehicles to get you from point A to point B. An appropriate choice depends on the car owner. If you’re driving to the city, sitting in traffic all the time, an automatic car may be better for you, although long commutes use a great deal of gas and a manual car uses a deficient amount of gas compared to an automatic. It may be difficult getting used to using a clutch pedal, specifically when you’re sitting in traffic and are frightened with the thought of stalling. Most people who have at no time drove a manual car get panicky when there’s traffic or when they have to stop on a steep incline. However, when you’re used to using a clutch, these situations won’t scare you any longer. They’ll become a habit rather than having to think about it. You will no longer have to think and question when your car is in gear, you’ll begin to feel it and know where the exact spot is that your clutch hits when it’s in gear. When stopped on a steep incline, you’re going to roll backwards in a manual car; you have to know when to release the clutch and when to give it more gas. Unlike a manual car, automatic cars require less thinking and more doing. Meanwhile the person in a manual car is stalling in traffic, the person driving the automatic car has their car in drive and all they have to worry about is hitting the break so they don’t crash into the person in front of them.
