The Great Comparison
Kobe Bryant a shooting guard for the LA Lakers and Michael Jordan a shooting guard for the Chicago Bulls, two all-star athletes that are compared more often than not for the similar NBA accomplishments and play styles. Nonetheless personality is different for both players. Michael Jordan led the Bulls three championships from 1991 to 1993 and another three from 1996 to 1998. While Kobe Bryant took the Lakers to a similar title area from 2000 to 2002. However, the two are both great basketball players who have multiple accomplishments on their resume, are also different.. The biggest difference is their personality towards the game itself, because Jordan entered the NBA from college while Bryant came straight from

high school. Everyone may argue about Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan asking who’s better.
Both of these athletes are exciting players to watch on the basketball court and have shown very dominant styles. However taking a look at the comparison of Jordan and Bryant requires more than just fans opinion and common assumptions. Most people would agree that Jordan is the much better player. Some of the younger fans may choose Kobe despite that they have never seen Michael really play. Over all both players bring unique athleticism and skills to the NBA, but the question still stands, who's …show more content…
better? Michael Jordan is with no hesitation the overall best basketball player ever, probably even the greatest athlete of all. Coming to the league were fouls and calls were not as frequently used in the game as today. The NBA has changed since Michael played, and it may seem to give Kobe a much more advantage in some cases, to maybe score at will. Jordan was a great offensive player and great defender. He achieved six championships, ten titles, five MVP’s, Rookie of the Year, Defensives of the Year awards, and more. In respect even though Kobe has not yet reached the total career points that Jordan has had he does have some feats over that's Jordan that he has never accomplished. One is an 81-point game Bryant had, Jordan 's closest coming to that only gave him 69 points. Another one which happened this year, Bryant scored 50 points at least over the course of four straight games. Throughout Jordan 's path to greatness he never reached these numbers. However, Jordan has scored at least 50 points in three straight games on many opportunities. Kobe Bryant is very much like Michael Jordan in many ways.
He has the same amount of feeling towards the game, and will try to do what it takes to win the game. Bryant can score just as much points as the next guy, but that does not take in account of his attitude of his team. His personality is way different, towards teammates and the game as Michael had ever been, Kobe is a is a selfish cold hearted player. He always puts the lost of a game on his team and not him, nothing is never Kobe’s fault . So far, he has made it seem like the stats and highlights he is making is all that matter, forget the team. Jordan was never selfish and always felt that if his team lost it was his fault not others, Kobe could never display self courage like
that. Over all we can tell that Michael Jordan coming up in a league were it was harder to score points. Jordan most likely had more physical and mental injuries than Kobe over the course of his years. Michael also has done what I one has every done, he has won 3 back to back champions. He won three retired, then came back and won three more no one has ever done that. Even so, I'm still not saying That Kobe is not an all-time great, it's just Jordan was there first before Kobe and before the rules. In the end, when it comes to awards stats , and championships, Jordan has him beat. over all Bryant is still a well-known superior basketball player, but his selfishness and attitude is not getting home anymore championship rings. Jordan's skill set, selfless attitude, and basketball smarts just overrides Kobe by a mile stone. Jordan is and will always be one of the greatest basketball player ever. If Bryant want to be anymore than what his is already, his attitude towards team mates and the game must be his main focus to change, or it will be along trip to retirement sooner than later

There are too many fallacies that are involved in making a fair assessment to determine who the greatest basketball player of all time is.

The NBA is well known for the number of amazing professional athletes it has had over the years. Some of the most gifted and talented individuals come through the NBA and one of the better-known superstars is none other than Kobe Bryant. For years people have wondered what makes Bryant so successful. The main contributors that lead to Kobe Bryant’s success is his hard work and dedication, his mindset, his natural ability’s and talent, and the people that have helped him throughout his life. Kobe Bryant was very successful in the NBA because of the amount of hard work he has put in, the people in his life, his relentless determination and his god given natural abilities.
Dreams come and go every night, but some dreams tend to stay for a lifetime. I have always dreamt to become a professional athlete in some way or another. Growing up I have always looked up to many different athletes. Whether it was Ladanian Tomlinson on the football field or Kobe Bryant on the basketball court I have always had some athlete that I wanted to be like someday.
How do you measure the greatness of the two biggest NBA superstars of all time? Michael Jordan is significantly known for being the ultimate basketball player in NBA history. However, LeBron James is considered one of the top basketball players in the NBA now. There inspiring leadership and unbelievable talent on the court makes it hard for us to choose a winner. James is continuously breaking NBA history, but Jordan's mighty legacy is considered unbreakable. Why can't both exceptional players be valued and appreciated, rather than compared?
In the fifth game of the finals, the team was suffering from the stomach virus. Kobe Bryant vs Michael Jordan? This is a controversial question in the NBA league. Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest basketball players of all time who was approaching or even goes beyond Michael Jordan. Both player are well-known to the world and as well as their basketball skills. As a similarity, both players are playing shooting guard and with similar play-style. I grew up with Kobe Bryant as a personal hero and barely knew who Michael Jordan was, now that I have examined the two players objectively. I concede that Michael Jordan’s skills are superior.
Michael Jordan unlike Russell was very highly recruited when he was in high school by schools like Duke, North Carolina, Syracuse, etc. Michael Jordan who was drafted in 1984 dominated as soon as he came into the scene. Michael Jordan aka MJ or Air Jordan who was very dominate as a shooting guard just wasn’t able to get over the hump of winning his first championship unlike Russell who won his first his second year in the league. But Jordan finally did win his first seven years later in 1991 against Magic Johnson and his LA Lakers. Jordan went on to win 3 championships then retired in 1993 to pursue a baseball career. That baseball career did not work out so Jordan came out of retirement to rejoin the bulls in 93, then 2 seasons later he won 3 straight championships again. In 99 Jordan went on to retire again but like the first time he came out of retirement in 2001 to play for the Washington Wizards mostly to donate his salary as a player to a relief effort for the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks. Jordan finally went on to retire for good in 2003 and he had averaged Points 30.1 ppg which he totaled 32,292 which is 4th all-time 5.3 apg and 6.2 rpg. Michael is also different from Bill in contract negotiation, as Bill was earning 100 thousand, MJ was earning in the millions and he still is. Unlike Bill Michael Jordan was playing in an era where a lot of endorsements came along. Jordan got a shoe deal while playing in the NBA and
Due to the mark Michael Jordan has left on the world as the “G.O.A.T.”, it will be very difficult for any player to surpass his legacy. Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and LeBron James all have similarities of Michael Jordan but, out of all three players James is the closest. LeBron has the most similarities and the potential to surpass Michael Jordan’s legacy with his personality, stats and he popularity on and off the court. Even though James has the potential to surpass his legacy, there is still a very long journey ahead of James if he ever wants to be considered the “G.O.A.T.”.
First, Kobe is better in achievements. He has 5 championships while Lebron James has 3 only. Kobe Beats Lebron in scoring championships too with 2 of them while lebron has 1. Kobe has competed on the west coast vs the east coast 18 times and has been the MVP 4 times beating Lebron’s 13 appearances and 2 MVPs. At the end of the season players get selected to teams to show how good they did in that season. Kobe got selected to the all NBA team 15 times and to the all defensive
Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, are arguably two of the greatest basketball players to ever live. As well as two of the most exciting and entertaining players during their time, and the way they played was also eerily similar, as you will see later on in the comparison. Along with that similarity they also played a great deal like each other. Most of this is from Kobe Bryant, though as he has been quoted saying that he modeled his game after Michael Jordan who was his role model growing up. The similarities do not stop their either Kobe Bryant looks a lot like Michael Jordan which caused them both to play the same position at shooting guard in their careers, also Kobe Bryant had the
Magic Johnson and Larry Bird defined the word competition. Each playing as if it was their last, and going head to head in the collegiate level and in the NBA. Magic’s and Bird’s legacy was so great, people today shape the way they play basketball so it looks like Magic and Larry. Magic played for the Lakers while, Bird played for the Celtics. The Lakers and the Celtics have the greatest rivalry ever in the NBA, and those two made the rivalry greater. They both were great athletes but different personalities and different teams, and that may affect their legacies. Whose legacy is better though? It's a tough question that may never be answered. Magic Johnson or Larry Bird?
