Dreams come and go every night, but some dreams tend to stay for a lifetime. I have always dreamt to become a professional athlete in some way or another. Growing up I have always looked up to many different athletes. Whether it was Ladanian Tomlinson on the football field or Kobe Bryant on the basketball court I have always had some athlete that I wanted to be like someday.
I had a dream one night that my dream came true. I was on the court balling up alongside of the ever so famous Kobe Bryant himself. It was like I was hypnotized when I woke up I thought it was all true. As the dream went on I found myself playing some of the worst basketball of my career. Turning the ball over every other possession and air balling the only shot I got
to take. It was almost like a nightmare I never wanted to experience. When I woke up it took me a few seconds to finally realize it was only just a dream. A little heart breaking, yet relieving that it was only just a terrible dream. I find myself wanting to experience this dream someday. Making a dream become a reality can be hard, but will and determination will help me make it become true. Although, this seems like an impossible task for a small town kid, I feel like it is very doable if I just put my mind to it.
Your dreams of being someone may not turn out the way you think they will. The documentary Hoop Dreams is a story about two boys from the ghetto that want to play in the NBA. Arthur ¨Man”Agee goes to Marshalls and William Gates goes to St. Joseph’s which are both situated in Illinois, where their dreams of becoming a pro basketball player vanished. Both of the boys face obstacles that are outside of themselves. Arthur´s family struggled with money, education, and pressure from others hurts him. Also, William struggled with balancing his family with basketball, the pressure from others, and education.
As a little kid, I think everyone has had a dream or goal to become a professional ball player or celebrity. The reason kids set these goals, because it is considered cool to be a professional ball player or celebrity. Also, those careers pay a lot of money for the things people love to do: play. For some, they do not care what it will take for them to achieve those goals and dreams. My dream was to become a professional baseball player, but I needed to focus on my education more.
I have been playing baseball as long as I can remember. My dream ever since I was little was to win a State Championship in high school. Baseball is the only sport that I could literally play every day and not get tired of it. I told myself that I would never give up my dream of playing baseball as long as I live.
Baseball has been in my life since I was a little boy. I've been playing since I could walk and haven't missed a season yet. I've been to many minor league games that are not professional but players in these leagues can become professional over time. I feel as if I am very capable of going far with it. I'd like to play all the way throughout college and hope I get noticed by a scout. Once I'm done with college if I haven't been drafted into the MLB then I'd probably try to play for the minor leagues in hopes of being noticed there. Ultimately my dream is to be drafted into the MLB and play professional baseball.
would probably wish to be an athletic star so I could play on any team I wanted.
Sports play a very important role in my life ever since I could walk. My interests in playing sports began at the age of three as my parents signed me up for soccer, flag football, basketball, and lacrosse. First grade started my competitive edge as I began to play for travel teams in various sport tournaments. This competitive edge transferred from the sports field to the classroom having teachers and coaches helping me be the best I can be. Sports have continually well-shaped and defined my character by teaching me how to accept a win from working hard, also how a loss is an opportunity to learn and fix mistakes.
I have wanted Kobe Bryant’s line of shoes for a while. The first time I saw the Kobe 9s (the 9th generation of the shoe) I absolutely fell in love. They just looked perfect they weren’t crazy, ugly or anything like that they just look extremely nice, but at the same time they still looked cool. Specifically the ones I loved were pink and black. I’d decided that I was going to buy a pair of them once I got the money. Finally Christmas rolled around and I ended up with $165. I started looking for a new pair of shoes and by then the 10th generation of the Kobes came out. I really liked those also. Eventually I found ones that were very similar to the pink and black Kobe 9s I love(ed) so much. They were at Champs for $160 from
Once I became focused on just one sport I started to strive to become like those aforementioned players. Soon though I realized that only a select and lucky few will ever become as great as them and get a chance to play in the NBA. But I never lost my drive to become the best player that I could become. I tried to achieve this by spending all my free hours in the gym working on all aspects of my game.
Everyone has dreams and goals, some people may or may not stick with them and some may not. But I'm going to stick to mine and my dream is to be a physical sports trainer. Everyone may have downfall but i won't I'm going to stick to my dream goal. The reason the I want to be a sports trainer because I got hurt during a football and tore my ACL and the sports trainers were by my side through all the hard time. I thought I wasn't going to play football but the trainers helped me a lot so I could get back before the season starts. Another reason is because people don't realized how much the trainers do for us. They go out there way just make sure everything is okay for us athletes. They are here at school early mornings and the last ones to leave
My mother always told me to watch who you sleep with i used to just laugh at her and take it as a joke until i got older and truly realized what she was trying to say. My mom and my dad both had a trait of sickle cell so in result i was produced with the full disease. However even when i was younger always known what i wanted out of life. I had the big dream of becoming a doctor ever since I was little. Its probably because i spent most of my young life in hospitals although some might hate being in them i enjoy it. I was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia since birth so i've really adapted and grown up with it. I did have one other dream when i was younger though, i wanted to be a professional football player that was my dream for a long time until one day , i had to go to the doctor, and they told me that I could not play anymore
Ever since I was a little boy, about eight years old or so, I had an extreme passion for the sport of basketball. On weekends, I would wake up in the morning, eat a bowl of frosted flakes or cheerios, put on basketball shorts and then go in my driveway to shoot around. I would be out there for hours just shooting around or playing with some random kids that I would occasionally see walking around my neighborhood. This was satisfaction to me, but even better was playing on multiple public teams and not just playing in my driveway every day. In elementary school, I played in a recreational league, just like almost every other kid who tries out basketball when they were younger. This was fun and all but it was nothing too serious. There were never any practices, it was just one or two unorganized games per week. I never took
At least till now, I was able to turn most of my dreams into reality - and some are still waiting to become reality.
When I grow up I will become a soccer player. I will become this because I really love the sport. I have played for soccer for seven years and I don’t plan to quit. I play as a forward on a select soccer team named the St. Louis Prospects.
Dreams do come true. Everyone in their life has a dream or two or three. Finding the way to achieve your dreams, goals, and aspirations is an epic journey on its own. It takes discipline, determination, and self -exploration. This is the tale of the journey I am still currently on.
My dream job in the future would be professional football player. I have loved the game of football since I was a little kid because it’s a good sport and you can tackle the player and catch and do anything in the sport as long as you follow the rules. The colleges that I’m looking forward to go to are UNC, Oregon, or Appalachian State.
