The poem Beowulf, and the poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight both hold heroic ideals that are shown in battle. Sir Gawain and the Green knight are much the same as Beowulf in the stories. They both have similar conflicts and it also show their victory over fearlessness and bravery. But despite all similarities that these two masterpieces share, they are different in many different ways. Due to different time periods and the way societies have changed over time, the ideals and values of these two poems differ showing a perfect example of how they are the same yet different.
