Comparing Beowulf In Sir Gawain And The Green Knight

Although, Gawain was not honest about the green girdle that he received from the lady of the castle. So by the end of the story, Beowulf died and was honest and Gawain was alive, but had to live with the guilt of his lie for the rest of his life.

Another difference could be how the story of Beowulf seems like it's more of a sad story because prior to the beginning, Hrothgar had to deal with Grendel who was constantly killing his men for 12 years only until Beowulf showed up to save the day.
