When the family arrives Eliezer and his father are seperated from his mom and sister. They never see them again. On of the most horrific things i read was towards the begining. As Eliezer and his dad were walking by a fire pit where Nazis were burning babies. Eliezer is soon put to work at a electrical fitting factory. He is treated horribly. He wasnt getting much food and was constantly getting beat. If this isnt bad enough the prisoners were forced to watch the hangings of others. He began noticing prisoners being cruel to each other because all they wanted to do is survive. People began to think for themselves. Eliezer still continues to try to help his father any way he can but his father dies of abuse. Jews were also disinfected with gasoline like they were objects. They wore prisoner outfits. The officer basically told them to work hard or they would be dead. Eliezer loses his faith in God and in all humanity. He sees no good in the world anymore. Eliezer states that the holocaust "murdered his God". He believes that if
