Thompson proceeded to decline the offer made by Venetian Flamingo Casino manager, Shirley Eugest. Soon after, Thompson was fired from WAC under the claim of corporate downsizing. I have investigated all aspects of this case with the purpose of determining whether or not Sam Pending’s promise is legally enforceable and ethically enforceable; along with what actions could be taken by Enoch Thompson and the implications on the corporation if he decided to try and enforce the promise. Finally, what actions Colossal Corporation should take in order to resolve this current case and in order to prevent another incident such as this to occur again. This investigation determined if the promise made by Pending is considered a legal contract, what rules and regulations a Nevada business has to comply with both legally and ethically, and if Pending’s action were legally and ethically correct. The findings of my investigations and my recommendations for Colossal Corporation are explicitly detailed
The need among Americans to be diverted in ever more imaginative ways -- through high-thrill parks, virtual reality arcades, and theme restaurants, plays right into the hands of Dave Corriveau and Buster Corley, co-founders and CEO’s of Dave and Busters. The duo’s 50,000 square foot complexes include pool hall, an eye popping, cutting edge midway arcade, a formal restaurant, a casual diner, a sports bar and a nightclub rolled into one sprawling complex. In business since 1990, this is a high energy, highly efficient operation that’s comparable to a Vegas extravaganza. As a matter of fact there are even “for fun” cashless blackjack tables, with fake $10,000 chips. Pricey, but not outrageous, and you get value for your money.

Harrah’s numerous properties in the country are considered to be its own operating segment, and thus each establishment is given leeway to make its own decisions and manage its own operations. These properties are grouped into divisions according to their geographical location, which makes it easier for Harrah’s top management to monitor their performance and make adequate responses to the different factors that affect a particular division, seeing that most external factors that greatly affect a casino’s operation usually depends on the location of said facility. For example, there are different laws and regulations regarding gambling for each state, and each location also caters to a particular class or segment of its target market.

The strengths of Harrah’s gain sharing program are evidenced by the incentive pay plan. This is one of the Harrah’s strategies of encouraging the employees to work hard in the services they offer to the customers. The strategy has a strong hold in motivating the workers to improve on their performance. In the process, the workers compete among themselves to improve on individual performance, and thus lead to an increase in performance level of the casino. As the performance level of the casino increases, the rival casinos receive a healthy competition from it.

What makes a piece of literature dystopian? A piece of literature becomes dystopian when the world is ruled by dictatorship; when it seems like a Utopian in the beginning but turned to be dystopian after all; when murder no longer a crime. These are determined by the person who creates this dystopian world. There are many articles that relate to dystopian worlds, and we would always find some similarities between those articles. For example, these kinds of stories usually take place either in some villages where are far away from the society, or in a new society that emerges after the old world was destroyed by the war. These kinds of articles normally carry cautionary tones in order to warn the people what kind of consequences they would

Mr Kakavas’ claim that Crown casino and its employees acted unconscionably was dismissed on the grounds that, unlike Mr and Mrs Amadio in their dispute against the Commercial Bank of Australia, Mr Kakavas suffered from no ‘special advantage’ from which he could have been exploited. Mr Kakavas argued that he had a pathological gambling condition and that the casino knew of this and yet lured him into rampantly spending money, and this meant that he should have been entitled to compensation.
Casinos have developed formulas to calculate the “predicted lifetime value” of any individual gambler. Gamblers are assigned value rankings based on this amount; the biggest losers are referred to as “whales.” These gamblers become the casinos’ most sought-after repeat customers, the ones to whom they market most aggressively with customized perks and VIP treatment.
