This computer system alone in my opinion is the actual barrier and against any of my morals when it comes to me determining a treatment method. According to Pomerantz (2014) the approach that I would use must be evidence based and a team effort. Things that might create resistance to therapy might be social barriers, psychological barriers, alcoholic withdrawal or drug withdrawal that sometimes poses as other issues (NCBI.gov).
4. Using the text as your main source, what is the definition of Manualized Therapy? Manualized therapy referring to the this text above is exactly what it is; it is therapy where steps are being used and that's exactly what the plan is for treatment
Usually, they have enclosure criteria (a determined diagnosis from the unified psychotherapy team), and omission criteria (cannot be in conjunction with another disorder being treated). Manually, once these works are completed, we have a more definite baseline for the learning and for further treatment.
Having a manual such as the DSM IV will make sure that the outcomes will be comparable, no matter the psychoanalyst. It also allows for one specific form of therapy to be tested (Regier, Kupfer, Narrow & Kuhl, 2009).

The disadvantages may be that the routine that is being followed may be outdated do to the changes in one's nature or nurture roles within their environment.
5. Using the text as your main source, discuss at least two ethical issues that could possibly impact the use of Manualized Therapy? Some Manualized therapies have been known to include gene therapy. Bill paying is another thing; Manualized Therapies often have tags and with the diagnosis comes a bill for the patient / insurance companies.
