Air pollution is the release of harmful substances into the atmosphere and if not focused on will create long-term effects on us and our environment. “Reducing Carbon Emissions Will Slow Climate Change.” a speech by Barack Obama suggests we reduce carbon emissions and use cleaner energy to lower air pollution. In “The Environmental Benefits of Electric Cars Vary State to State.” Daniel Yawitz, a research analyst, believes electric cars are beneficial for lowering air pollution in many states. Jeremy Michael in “Hybrids Are the Most Economically Viable.” supports that hybrids are the best choice to lower carbon emissions, one …show more content…

When addressing the issue of climate change, Barack indicated, “Reducing Carbon Emissions is essential for slowing climate change and protecting the planet from devastation” (Barack 1.) Michalek concluded that, “although the environment benefits of an electric car vary state to state, these vehicles are climate friendly emitting fewer gases” (Michalek 1.) Electric cars help reduce air pollution becoming a better alternative than fuel powered cars when it comes to positive environmental benefits. When cars emit fewer gases into the atmosphere, it results in cleaner air. Daniel Yawitz, research analyst suggests, “hybrids are less costly than creating charging infrastructure and does more good for the environment” (Yawitz 1.)
