Final Paper The name of the arena I have created is called the Cinco Jefe Memorial Stadium. This is a made up arena that I have created. The Cinco Jefe Memorial Stadium was created in 1876 and is considered a historical structure. When created it held nearly ninety percent of the events containing more than ten thousand people in city of Jacksonville, FL. People would come from all over the sunshine state to admire the building and view the events taking place. This was the ideal place to hold events as it still is to this day because of the capacity and the beauty the arena has. The capacity is 860,000 which will most certainly hold more than enough people. This being said the arena often reaches the capacity limit 1 out of every 3 events. The revenue has been …show more content…
The fourth stage of the crisis management plan is to establish post crisis communication rules. They should choose who would meet with the staff for the debriefing and also who will address the media after a crisis situation. The crisis manager must make sure there is an accurate, and appropriate response created in a timely fashion to be given to the media. It is obvious that the media will want a swift response after a situation that is why it is essential that the response be delivered in this manner. All of the staff members must be educated on the situation so that every employee will be able to give a response when asked by the public or if they receive phone calls concerning the crisis event. When this step is complete the staff that is apart of the crisis planning team will be asked to send cards, letters, and phone calls to the fans, newspaper editors, and to others who are associated with Cinco Jefe Memorial Stadium. V. The fifth stage is post crisis reports. After a crisis the team must choose who will complete the reports and when. The crisis must be documented very carefully. The incident report form should be brought to the administration within the first 24 hours of the crisis

Years ago, there was once a small town called Chaves Ravine within Los Angeles, California and this town was a poor rural community that was always full of life. Two hundred families, mostly Chicano families, were living here quite peacefully until the Housing Act of 1949 was passed. The Federal Housing Act of 1949 granted money to cities from the federal government to build public housing projects for the low income. Los Angeles was one of the first cities to receive the funds for project. Unfortunately, Chavez Ravine was one of the sites chosen for the housing project, so, to prepare for the construction work of the low-income apartments, the Housing Authority of Los Angeles had to convince the people of the ravine to leave, or forcibly oust them from their property. Since Chavez Ravine was to be used for public use, the Housing Authority of Los Angeles was able seize and buy Chavez Ravine from the property owners and evict whoever stayed behind with the help of Eminent Domain. The LA Housing Authority had told the inhabitants that low-income housing was to be built on the land, but, because of a sequence of events, the public housing project was never built there and instead Dodgers Stadium was built on Chavez Ravine. Although Chavez Ravine public housing project was the result of the goodwill and intent of the government, rather than helping the people Chavez Ravine with their promise of low-income housing, the project ended up destroying many of their lives because of those in opposition of the public housing project and government mismanagement.

Also, both models require participation and cooperation from the client in order to successfully carry out the process in its’ entirety.
If Las Vegas continues to make serious strides in bringing the Raiders, they will need to build a new 65,000 seat stadium with a retractable roof to insure that the weather will not hinder the games/events. This stadium will be shared with the UNLV Rebels’ football team and may host concerts and other special events, though there are numerous arena-sized venues already located on The Strip. Still, the exact location of the stadium is yet to be determined. About nine sites have already been proposed. How long it would take to build the stadium is still unknown.
Stadium should organise events like, organise rugby training sessions for public, rugby event activation entertainment and music concerts.
Over the time there were many famous arenas but none as grand as the Colosseum. Buildin...
Coombs (2007); Ulmer, Sellnow, & Seeger (2011) Šontaitė-Petkevičienė (2014) share a common agreement that crisis is a sudden, unexpected and uncertain event, and a threat and harm to stakeholders or public saftety, financial losses, and reputation damage. The cause of a crisis is oftentimes because of unethical actions are often the cause of a crisis and the organization’s ethical values was revealed when there is a crisis occurred (Ulmer, Sellnow, & Seeger, 2011). Crisis communication aims to address a crisis situation by collecting, processing and disseminating information (Coombs & Holladay, 2010). Conversely, (Benoit, 1995; Coombs, 1999) argue that crisis communication is basically a part of public relations (PR) and it is a requirement for organizations to repair damaged images after a crisis or disaster (as cited in Seeger,
When a crisis occurs, a chain reaction of events follows. Clearly, the direction of the chain reaction depends on the crisis. During the project, the first challenge was to search for a company to analyze their damage control strategy. However, there was difficulty making a decision until finding a recent Pizza Hut scandal. A district manager of Pizza Hut found himself the subject of a scandal. In fact, a surveillance camera caught him urinating in the kitchen sink. Indeed, the research into Pizza Hut’s strategy found that they saw the video then they let the district manager go; the news media broke the news then they sent a written message by television expressing their regret; the health department shut them down temporarily then they shut the restaurant down permanently.
The communication process is not something that begins when a crisis rears its ugly head rather it is a process that takes place in preparing for a crisis before it happens. While the term crisis represents a blanket term used to describe many situations, each situation is unique, thus presenting different obstacles to overcome. However, with a well-established advanced plan in place an organization places itself in a position to overcome and work around obstacles. The development of a comprehensive crisis management plan is one achieved through effective communication where each member of the crisis management team has an advanced shared understanding of his or her role and responsibility during a time of crisis (du Pr'e, 2005).
Coombs, a professor in the school of communications at the University of Central Florida, has published more than 40 research articles and over 30 book chapters. Most of them focus on crisis management and communication. Drawing on his extensive experience, Coombs applies a three-staged approach in discussing how crisis management can help to prevent or eli...
In order to comprehend what is crisis management, it was build the crisis framework thought defining the concept and the core issues and discussing the various definitions, types, stages, and phases of crisis. The key words that were used in the research included “school crisis”, “intervention”, “trauma”, “crisis planning”, “crisis intervention”, “school response”, “crisis response”, “disasters”, and “school health” (Love & Cobb, 2012, p. 159). This research is based on the existing theretical and empirical information about crisis management. Hence, it is important to maintain the crisis plans for each difficulty in order to protect the educational institutes and to prevent it from happenning in the future, but some institutes fail it.
A crisis can be defined as an extraordinary event, disclosure, or set of circumstances that threatens, or is perceived to threaten, the welfare of one or more staff, customers and stakeholders, or the integrity, objectives and reputation of the organisation. Crisis management is the application of strategies designed to help an organization deal with a sudden and significant negative event. (Janes, T 2010)
The main idea of a naming rights deal is that a company will pay the sport facility to name the facility after the company and have some additional advertising around the stadium. This is a win for both the facility and the company because the facility can get additional revenue and the company receives exposure from fans attending the stadium as well as fans watching from home. This deals can be cost up to hundreds of millions of dollars which is a very easy way for a facility to make a large piece of revenue. But unfortunately there is a downside to the naming rights deal which is that if the host team is losing fans or relocates than the company may not want to continue the deal and the facility would have to find a new company to propose a deal with.
