Have you ever thought about the ways you worship God? Using worship through theatre, art, and music should be used as a way to glorify God. Even though these three forms of the arts are distinctly different, they have similarities when it comes to Christian worship. Each one conveys some type of Biblical story, but it is done in its own unique way. The performers and the artists will do certain things that are pleasing to their target audience. For example, in theatre they will decide what parts of the story to depict, in art they might portray Jesus as an African American, and in music the style can change for the audience. Theatre first began in early churches. It was a way to communicate Biblical stories because the people could not read. Today theatre is still used to portray the Biblical story, but it is used more for a physical representation of what is taking place throughout the Bible. These stories can be taken straight from scripture and are acted out. I have experienced Biblical stories, such as the resurrection and stories about Easter at my church. I attended a production that was all about this topic. They showed many of the scenes that led up to this, such as healing the little girl who was dead. This was an experience where I had a visual of what was taking place in the Bible and I was at a young age, so it allowed for a better understanding of the death of Christ and his resurrection. It is the most common worship style found in Christian churches today. The messages will not change throughout history even though the musical style will. Christ have mercy is a terminology that many worship songs still include throughout today’s contemporary culture. I have experienced this concept in the worship songs I hear and even when I think about the messages behind many other songs. Therefore, this shows that the message will stay the same to connect with the audience in the society. Music is a form where people are able to directly talk to God and worshiping Him. I love the idea of music in the church. For me, I have experienced this in two contrary settings. At my home church it is a lot of hymns and older worship style. I have a hard time relating to this music because it is not what I listen to on a daily basis. My church at school is a contemporary worship setting and I love this style of worship. It allows for me to connect with God and praise Him in a way that I had never experienced at my home church. I have personally noticed that more people in this church appreciate a contemporary style of worship, no matter the age range. I think the culture has helped shaped that with radio station, like K-Love, where people hear the contemporary songs. Finally, music allows for unity with the Body of Christ. Religion has been an important part of man’s life. Man has allowed religion to control and influence his life in many different ways, affecting both his behavior and his actions. So its not surprising that music, one of man’s earliest expressive forms, has also been influenced by religion. Religion has had an effect on man’s music all throughout history, from the early Egyptians to even now. So it is only natural that Western music should also have been affected by religion. Western music, and its development by composers, has been strongly influenced by the Christian religion, especially in the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods. The music in these periods laid the foundation for all the different types of music we enjoy today.

The rise of Christianity in western civilization is arguably among the most important memories in history. There is no denying what the spread of Christianity has done for the world, for better or worse. Its impact on western civilizations is unrivaled and unprecedented. Christianity slowly became something for many individuals to turn to; in times of hurt its provided comfort, in times of pleasure it has given thanks. The will and belief for salvation has driven individuals to be better, and to have a reference while in need. The rise of Christianity more than 2000 years ago provided necessary building blocks for the future. Without Christianity there would be no cathedrals, no monasteries, no music from one Johann Sebastian Bach, no paintings from Michelangelo, nor no philosophy from Saint Augustine (Backman 205). Music has been relevant in Christianity since its beginnings. Some of the first music was written in Latin and they were called Hymns. “Hymn is a song of praise” (Van Camp) and were sung only by catholic churches. When Martin Luther led the Protestant Reformation and helped create Protestant Christianity, he began translating hymns into German. All around Europe people were translating hymns into different languages. These translations were brought over by European settlers coming to America and were used frequently in both Catholic and Protestant churches.
As far as mankind’s history can date, religion has had quite an intimate relationship with people. Although maybe it hasn’t always been identified in the same way as we identify religion today, spread across the world we have the remains of pyramids, temples, and even written in ancient texts from centuries ago dedicated to god, to the afterlife, to what lies on the other side. Art through the ages has been a powerful voice for both secular and religious ideas, and the treasury of Christian art should not be relegated to museum viewing. The art should be displayed in the church were it is meant to be. Its richness can be brought to people in schools and adult study groups. This, in turn, can help to bring art up to the level, that the faith deserves. Churches should fill the walls with art to show what happened throughout the bible. Art creates connections and associations between what we see and what we sense happened. Both ritual and art challenge us to take us beyond the immediate, if they are to bring about true insight and transformation in our lives.

A pastor has a great responsibility to minister the Word of God and to be a shepherd to his people. The pastor must be committed to biblical truths when he engages the work of the ministry. Some of these truths include: The Bible is the infallible Word of God, his preaching must be from the Word of God, and he must do proper exegesis to get to the authorial intent and proclaim that to his congregation.

Theatre has therefore changed continuously to suit the demands of each new age for fantasy, spectacle, or serious drama.
The religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are alike in many ways but they also share many differences. Judaism and Christianity use the bible in their holy scriptures, while Islam does not. Jesus Christ is a part of all three religions as Christianity and Islam developed from Judaism. Many believe that the three religions worship, pray to, and focus on the same god. They believe this as many of the prophets are they share much in common as they share many beliefs. However, the followers of the three religions pray differently and in different places. the religions believe that their god created the world and everything in the world. The three Abrahamic religions have different histories, yet they share many similarities and difference.
All welcoming, all loving, all knowing God, for me my Church is like a an close up of heaven will look . All colors, all ages, all backgrounds invited, souls are saved weekly. Faith is increased every Sunday and the Bible is even reflected on heavier Wednesday. Word Church is more then just a big grey, white, and red building, on the corner of Britain Road, with a big W symbol on the side. My church is a hospital, in the middle of a slowly dieng area. Previously dispositioned as an old furniture store, I am currently a member of, the newly remodeled Word church Akron. This was not my first church I attended, however it is the building block of my faith in Christianity .
