Christ the King is a place where I have been able to attend school for the last 8 years. I have many fond memories of being here from my first day of 1st grade with Mrs. Rosalie until my last years in Middle School. I can look back and be happy that I was able to make so many memories. Going to Christ The King is an advantage because it provided me with a safe and welcoming environment for all. They cultivated a staff of teachers and aides who are dedicated and caring. The staff teaches us to respect one another and the importance of self-discipline. They teach us to be productive and to set high standards for student achievement so we can succeed. They provide a balanced academic curriculum. The high school graduation rate is 99%
As ancient Rome began to fall, Christianity began rising. Around 2,000 years ago, Jesus of Nazareth was born, later to be known as the Messiah or Son of God. When people of the Roman era began to hear of such a powerful being, they began to convert to Christianity. Why did Christianity take hold on the ancient world; Christianity took hold on the ancient world because it offered immortality, equality, and it was spread like wildfire.
...eautiful scenes within the temple. It was very interesting to learn about specific interactions and lifestyles many Buddhists go through when at the temple and their perspectives on life. The location of the temple was one that really provided an atmosphere that was heavenly. The architecture and the buildings were meticulously built. The landscape was very beautiful and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I felt at peace and calm when I was at the temple. I also feel a step closer to understanding my culture.
There are several reasons why I would like to attend the Woodbridge Academy. Academically, a spectacular learning environment makes a superb school. Some examples of a great learning environment are class sizes being smaller, there is amazing collaboration between the students and faculty, and the school counselors will always be determined and will lead the student in the right direction. Another reason, why I would like to join the academy is what the academy provides. The Woodbridge Academy is a school that provides Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences which is perfect because my future dream is to become a pediatrician and Woodbridge Academy can prepare me for career. Additionally, Woodbridge Academy has high standards for teaching which
St. Mary is a better fit for me socially. At my old school many of my fellow classmates did not treat people with respect. Not many students seemed to truly care about the well being of their peers. Whereas at St. Mary, it feels like more of a community. We all look out for each other and try to help out one another. At St. Mary we have the Peacekeeper awards. These awards are given to one student from each homeroom every month. The award is
This fragment is taken from THE NEW TESTAMENT (King James version). More importantly, the fragment appears in THE GOSPAL ACCORDING TO ST. MATTHEW, which is the first gospel out of four. While there is no speaking character in the fragment, it is possible to witness several characters in it. First, there are the wise men who came to visit and see baby Jesus. Second, when they entered the house, they saw Jesus with “Mary, his mother.” In this fragment, one can notice the significance of the wise men (Magi). Seeing that, the wise men function as evidence to display Jesus’s godliness and his relation to God, by seeing him they “fell down, and worshiped him.” Due to God’s intervention in the wise men’s dreams, they have changed their actions, understanding
the uplifting news of the Kingdom of God." Over the course of his service, Jesus is said to have performed different marvels, including healings, expulsions, strolling on water, transforming water into wine, and raising a few individuals, for example, Lazarus, from the dead. At the stature of his service, Jesus pulled in tremendous group numbering in the thousands. In Jerusalem, consecrated ministers and senior citizens denounced Jesus for lewdness. Jesus was executed Golgotha. As per the Gospels, Jesus became alive once again on the third day after his torturous killing. Christians consider the restoration of Jesus to be the foundation of their confidence and the most vital occasion in mankind's history. Jesus guaranteed to return again to

Worldview expression is the quintessential way to elucidate what is going on within us, as well as the agency which telegraphs our cognitive claims and operative beliefs back to the world. That is, what we speak and do, reveals the lens upon which we view the world around us. From a personal application standpoint, theism, the worldview lens by which I base my decisions and actions, encompasses and influences several realities, namely, when it concerns verity with regard to what I believe and why I trust it, and how it affects my actions within a circadian cyclical system. Indeed, a Christian theistic worldview has been an instigator of change in my life, and answers the why and how of who we are and where we are going.
If one is to learn about the life and teachings of Jesus one must first understand not only what he taught but also the meaning behind his teachings. Jesus was an incredible person, whether you might believe in his miracles or not, there is no denying that his teachings transcend the very concept of what one may believe. There are many ways that Jesus and his teachings, that are represented in the bible, reveal the kingdom of God, but there are three main ways that we can distinctly separate them out. These three separations being, Jesus Christ acting as a leader, teacher, and miracle worker, revealed the kingdom of God.
The Christian’s monotheistic God consists of three parts: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Although they all exist in different beings , the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit make up God; they create the Holy Trinity that lives in Him. Many have proven the Holy Trinity to be true through biblical and historical evidence, so no person can deny this fact. However, many theologists like to state the Trinity is a pagan concept adopted by Christianity, and since no one mentions the word “Trinity” in the Bible, the idea of the Trinity is disputable. Nonetheless, the Trinity still makes up God, and God is still monotheistic; no one can disprove this reality.
Before we go into the science of how crucifixion is done, we got to answer what is crucifixion? Used in ancient times, crucifixion is a form of capital punishment by nailing one’s body to a wooden cross and being hung until they bled to death. If you were to die through this process, it would be considered disgraceful because of how vulnerable it makes you seem. It originated in the Middle East in the empire of Persia, then began to spread throughout both Asia and Europe. This method was used to primarily show examples of traitors of the country, war prisoners, and of the worst kind of criminals in the country. Alexander the Great made it a staple within his empire, then the Romans began to use his method (Cook 1). They would use the method to punish citizens convicted of high treason to a higher degree than the previous users. If the crime was not as serious, then they would just be tied to it and left hanging until they are dead from lack of sustenance. Clearly, we can see the cruelty of the use of crucifixion, but now we need to talk
Pope John Paul II was an outstanding religious leader that was able to accomplish many issues, above and beyond those of the Catholic Church.. He took matters into his own hands and strived to fix them by bringing a voice to the cause and standing up for what he believed in. He experienced many hardships in life which gave him a personal connection on several of the issues he spoke about. This is what sets him apart from several popes and makes him a memorable leader in the world today. During the late 1900’s and early 2000’s, Pope John Paul II demonstrated his traits as a leader through such accomplishments as recognizing all individuals as unified, ending communism, and spreading his words about the catholic religion.
Knowing that God is my creator and the One that gave me a purpose to live on this earth means the world to me. At the Christian service, you are immediately welcomed inside the church, as well as the Jewish Temple. Christian congregations are not the only place where people feel welcomed. Many feel accepted in a certain place because of factors like culture. Others feel accepted because they found something they can relate to. At The Potter’s House, words of motivation were always said. It showed me that they not only care about your spiritual life but your physical one as well. Even though at both congregations I felt that there was a sense of love and care, The Potter’s House actually showed this by saying Hello to you when you came in the door or even a random person come up to you and kiss you on the cheek while saying God Bless You. Many believe this is a weird act of showing care or love but for them it was a way to show the visitors that there are people that actually care about
When moving through the hallways, the teachers, aides and staff were all very friendly and helpful, making sure that I not only belonged to be there, but that I was able to find my way to the appropriate locations. Art lined the halls, and the sounds from the classrooms indicated that the children were exicited and engaged in their activies. I would feel most comfortable having children attend this school. It was a warm, safe and nurturing environment, where the individual was celebrated, and the community created.
If failure was not an option and unlimited potential was my source, then “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13 New International Version) This is an example of me being Christ conscious. Christ consciousness is when one has been awaken to the awareness of living like Christ. “A person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified (Galatians 2:16).
