It is used also for child rearing practices in different societies, at different economic levels, in different ethnic groups, etc. It differs from PARENTING in that in child rearing the emphasis is on the act of training or bringing up the child and the interaction between the parent and child, while parenting emphasizes the responsibility and qualities of exemplary behavior of the parent. Throughout the decades, parenting has evolved resulting in altered child rearing experiences for adults. It has changed from the 1920s, when children had to work no matter where they lived, to now where you can't discipline your kid and society decides what is right. Punishing your child became customary over time, but today physical punishment is highly frowned upon. Looking into each of the decades since 1920, family life has been focused on the child and influenced by community expectations.

The childcare industry has variables including childcare by a family member, a traditional caregiver or a day care center. It depends on a family’s situation as to which one benefits them most. The two types of childcare to be discussed are the traditional caregiver and a day care center. Parents must decide whether they want a one-on-one or a group setting for the care of their children.
If a child is looked after or in care, their opportunities in general may be restricted. This in turn leads to their development being affected in many different ways.

Parenting Styles Some of the greatest milestones in life are graduating from college and getting a first job. However, no matter how challenging those activities are, many people believe the hardest job in life is being a parent and raising children. While child rearing is difficult, many also believe it is the most wonderful thing in their life. Child rearing also has us question ourselves: "Am I raising them correctly?" Should it be this stressful?

Webster’s dictionary defines parenting as the process of raising and education a child from birth until adulthood. Everyone has or had a caregiver, whether it be pests, animals or human beings. However, the thing that differs is the method of parenting. There are many methods of parenting, but there are only three main parts. They include authoritarian parenting style, permissive parenting style, and democratic parenting style. The next few paragraphs will give the reader a detailed description of these three parenting methods and what my parents have used in parenting me.
While all societies acknowledge that children are different from adults, how they are different, changes, both generationally and across cultures. “The essence of childhood studies is that childhood is a social and cultural phenomenon” (James, 1998). Evident that there are in fact multiple childhoods, a unifying theme of childhood studies is that childhood is a social construction and aims to explore the major implications on future outcomes and adulthood. Recognizing childhood as a social construction guides exploration through themes to a better understanding of multiple childhoods, particularly differences influencing individual perception and experience of childhood. Childhood is socially constructed according to parenting style by parents’ ability to create a secure parent-child relationship, embrace love in attitudes towards the child through acceptance in a prepared environment, fostering healthy development which results in evidence based, major impacts on the experience of childhood as well as for the child’s resiliency and ability to overcome any adversity in the environment to reach positive future outcomes and succeed.
“The most beautiful thing in this world is to see your parents smiling and knowing that you are the reason behind that smile.” Our parents’ first concern; which parenting style to follow in order to raise up a well-developed, and well-mannered person. Matter of fact, a huge debate went over this particular issue, whether strict parenting is the right method, or being leant is the correct method. "There is clear evidence that parents can and do influence children." (Maccoby 1). Although, there are numerous factors that can affect the parenting process, or affect the way the parents treat the child (Bossard 333) (Maccoby 1). For instance, different home circumstances... the divided home, or the neglectful home, or the mother-controlled home, or may be the overly demanding home, or the home with too many bosses, so all these different home atmospheres are major factors that affect the development of any child (Bossard 333). In addition, the parents’ attitude towards the child is mostly effective in the formation of the child's personality (Bossard 334). Furthermore, the genetic effect of the child is very important, researches proved that genes are one of the most effective factors in the parenting process, and genes affect the child's own behavior characteristics, and also influences the way the parents are tending to treat their son/daughter (Maccoby 5). I will explain the three major parenting styles and will prove that it is not possible to assume that there is one best style to follow, because each home or family have their own special cases or circumstances that will affect the parenting process
I decided to write on this subject since I was taught this topic in earlier classes and learned from that textbook some of the information that I pulled from my reference materials. I was familiar with this topic and had some earlier notions and wanted to see if my views and understanding changed with a broader knowledge base. At the time I studied this previously I found it to be an interesting and complex subject.
...ces in attempts that they will appreciate and gain knowledge of different cultures. The child’s personal needs or ways of learning will also be taken into consideration when planning activities. Knowing about this theory will give me an idea of what to expect when teaching and how I can facilitate the teaching and learning experience for both myself and the child.
They have regular family meetings with their children to discuss household rules and their importance to the family dynamics. Although both forms of parenting are completely different, both ways have their own advantages and disadvantages. Well first off to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the parenting styles between the Harsh-Hearts and the Easy-Goings, their styles of child rearing must be categorized first. Child-rearing is a combination of parenting behaviors that occur over a wide range of situations. There are four different categories of combinations in child-rearing: authoritarian, authoritative, permissive, and uninvolved.
Frequently alluded to as a crucial element in childrearing practice, the adoption of a specific parenting style has shown to have significant implications on the developmental outcomes of a child. With the integration of parental demandingness and responsiveness (Arnett, 2016), Baumrind has conceptualized four individual parenting styles, categorizing individuals as either authoritative, authoritarian, permissive, or disengaged parents. Each style exhibits a separate level of control and warmth that parents demonstrate in relation to their children, as well as personal and societal beliefs that may affect an individual 's preference for one child rearing practice over another (Arnett, 2016). As a common parenting style
Child rearing is the way in which children are raised in a society.
