That night, many witnesses reported having seen a man changing the tire of his van and waving any possible help away angrily while others reported seeing a woman wandering around the side of the dangerous highway. More witnesses reported that Kenneth and his wife were having many violent disputes at their home that usually resulted in Kenneth pursuing an angry Yvonne around the block. The most compelling evidence against Mathison, however, is purely scientific. Detective Paul Ferreira first noticed that the extensive blood stains inside the Mathison van. After hearing Mathison’s original account, he summoned the assistance of famed forensic expert Dr. Henry Lee to analyze what he thought was inconsistent evidence. Blood stains on the paneling and the spare tire in the cargo area reveal low-velocity blood stains meaning that the blood probably dripped from Yvonne’s head onto the floor. The stains found on the roof and steering wheel were contact transfer patterns probably caused by Mathison’s bloody hands. Blood stains on the driver’s side of the van were contact-dripping patterns which indicate that Mathison touched the inside of the van multiple times before and after moving his wife’s body. The final groups of blood stains on the instrument panel of the van were medium-velocity stains which show investigators that Mathison probably struck his wife at least once in the front seat causing the blood to fly from her open head wound. The enormous amounts of blood inside the van lead prosecutor Kurt Spohn to investigate the Mathison case as a murder instead of a misdemeanor traffic violation.
Carlos Deluna was an American man who was convicted of first degree murder. Carlos was executed by the state of Texas for the killing of a 24 year old woman at the Shamrock gas station. The victim Wanda Lopez was stabbed multiple times apparently from a buck knife. Wanda Lopez was the attendant of the gas station and the police was senseless and oblivious to the tape at the gas station and only saw when she was giving the murderer the money yelling “You want it? I’ll give it to you. I’m not going to do nothing to you. Please!!!” There were only four eyewitnesses that was nearby when Wanda Lopez was murdered.
Selena Quintanilla, the madonna of Tejano music. Such an empowering person; she was beloved by many. Her tragic death caused an immense outrage and pained many. Yolanda Saldivar, her killer made a huge mistake that day. Nothing can justify her shooting Selena. Her actions were driven by hatred towards the Quintanilla family, greed, and caused an immense outbreak of mourning. Although some may say that her actions were justified because of her being fired, that is not a good enough reason to shoot someone. Here are my explanations as to why Yolanda saldivar did not have a valid reason to end Selena Quintanilla’s life.

After nine days of being released for transfer from a Southern California jail, narco corrido singer Larry Hernandez arrives in Newberry, South Carolina to face kidnapping charges.
The presumably real killer, Carlos Hernandez, was a repeat violent offender who had a history of slashing women with his knife. In fact, various of Hernandez’ family members interviewed for the Columbia University report determined the pictures of the murder weapon retrieved from the gas station looked similar to the knife Hernandez habitually kept with him. The report, specifically more than 400 pages long, was turned over to the Chicago Tribune which then published a three-part series in 2006 that procured evidence suggesting that Hernandez was the true suspect. Numerous people revealed to the Tribune that Hernandez-who died in 1999 in prison of a liver disease-had confessed to the killing of that harrowing night. Essentially, negligent police work, the prosecution’s failure to pursue another suspect, and a weak defense fused to send DeLuna to death row. “There are many cases out there that nobody has ever looked at and are probably at risk of innocence,” said
Upon hearing David and Betty’s refusal, the man pulled out a gun, and fired a round into the right rear window, shattering it with incredible force. He then moved to the front of the car and fired another round into the left tire. Stricken with panic, David and Betty rushed out of the car, but the man was there to meet them. Betty was able to scramble out, but David wasn’t so lucky, as he was met with the cold, hard barrel of a gun pressing behind his left ear. "The shot made a deafening blast, as the bullet entered David’s head at a horizontal angle, blowing it apart" (Tina 3).
Get the other driver’s, or drivers’, name, address, telephone numbers, license number, insurance information, vehicle plate number, and vehicle make, model, and year. Also get the names and contact information from any passengers and any witnesses. When talking with anyone involved in the accident, never admit being at fault because it may not be easy to determine who was at fault. Saying you’re sorry for an accident, even if you’re not at fault, may be interpreted as admitting liability for the incident. Ask the police for the number on the police report to be filed and get the name and badge number of all the police at the scene. The police report will state who was at fault and if any citations were
