In decentralized system, whole system is divided into different - 2 areas. And each area has its own virtual control center or local control center. Decentralized system divide the task of monitoring and controlling of power system into subtask. Division of whole power system is best option in fault occur. Because it don't need to shut down the whole system only that system is shut down which is faulty. So economically it is cheap because faulty part is needs to be change not whole system. Figure: decentralized system 3.3.1.3. difference between centralized and decentralized system It is not about the generation gap that it is modern age or early age. population (approx 127 crores and counting) 2. exceptional increase usage of electricity from last decade. 3. increase amount of electricity generation (up to 53 GW) 4. globalization that's mean lots of industries. Load of electricity usage is increasing. So load on generation and transmission lines are also increasing. So these few issues telling about the why we need smart grid. Figure: information and communication technology infrastructure for electric power system Smart grid is a concept that a grid who has advanced functionality like advance security, self healing process, able to self decision. SCADA system's network are well constructed and follow the strict infrastructure and for bulk power network it uses the IP based technologies. This SCADA network architecture consists data models, application layer and middleware and transport function for transmission. The middleware operates to ensure performance. Number of home consumers and industrial consumers are increasing day by day. So in that case cost of transmission lines are increasing means economical loss for any state. So smart grid provide functionality where in less cost it will supply electricity to the home consumers and industrial consumers through single transmission that's means economical growth for any
...ional standards. Our Security index remained steady as our control measures met the goal of being proactive enough to prevent, sustain, and repudiate a good amount of cyberattacks. The downtime, unfortunately, was more than we planned. But unlike other sectors, the electrical grid is a more complex system when one area is affected. It often requires isolation of systems to get the components back on line and at full operations range before restoration commences. Isolation can also translate to the significant amount of time to properly re-cycle the systems before it is ready to be integrated into the grid. Lastly, the profit margin is hit when the downtime increases. The profits evaporate in fines paid to the state, and federal entities regulating the energy sector. Also, profits are not being generated when power producing systems are isolated from the grid.
Fault tolerance is the property that enables a system to continue operating properly in the event of a failure.
fault, and say that it is the fault of the operator? Engineers must be careful
Generation after generation and for hundreds of years, there has been an ongoing feud between the ideas of a strong centralized government or individualism and which of the two is more beneficial to creating a strong unified country. A centralized government is the idea that the nation or country is controlled mainly by a central figure (King or President) while individualism supports an individual persons right to vote on what’s best for themselves and limits the governments control. Throughout the three pieces The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, and “Thomas Jefferson: The Best of Enemies”, a constant debate between a strong centralized government and individualism is supported
“Improving Security of Oil Pipeline SCADA Systems Using Service-Oriented Architectures” is an article written by Nary Subramanian in 2008. The article introduces a new computer system that will improve a current computer system that runs oil pipelines. The purpose of this article was to convince the audience that the new computer system will improve the security and enhance the feasibility of the oil pipeline management. This essay analyzes rhetorical concepts the author used to convey his idea through navigation by organization and presentation, understanding through audience and research, and credibility through author. By analyzing this rhetorical concepts, the author will see whether these concepts where effective at conveying the purpose of the article.
On August 14th, 2003, a major blackout swept across portions of the northeastern United States and Canada. It was reported that a series of equipment outages in the Midwest led to uncontrolled cascading outages of power transmission lines and generators serving parts of the Northeast, Midwest and Canada. Automatic protective systems operated to open circuits and shut down power plants to prevent further spread of the outages. This is very similar to what happened in The Great Northeast Blackout of 1965. In both situations, the “grid system” shut down one generator in line at a time to protect a surge from the station before it.
The history of the internet takes us back to the pioneering of the network and the development of capable technologies. The explosion of the internet’s popularity of the 1990’s was large and dramatic, boosting our economy and then helped to bring it into a major recession. One can only hope that the explosion becomes organized and slightly standardized in the interest of the general public. Despite all of these conjectures and speculations only time can tell the future of the largest network in the world.

When I read this article, “Why Is American Internet So Slow” I didn’t comprehend how decreased American superhighway (internet) is compared with other countries. In fact, the United States, who formulated networks, ought to have the quickest connection. In paragraph 1 it states, “America’s average download speed is 20.77 Mbps and was ranked 31st.” In addition, Hong Kong download speed is “72.49 Mbps.” I couldn’t fantasize that Hong Kong has more than three times accelerated internet than the U.S. Let alone, I couldn’t understand that the U.S. internet is more time-consuming than other countries. In my opinion, I thought this article was not reliable sources at first, by virtue of, I couldn’t accept how slow the U.S. internet download and upload
The individual constituent parts will vary, but it will always have a Master Controller responsible of matching the load with generation in both island mode or grid-connected, provide real-time response and fault protection, connect and disconnect from the grid, and make predictive and forecasting analysis.
But as we know that each and every coin has two sides: so similar to that Cyber Physical systems also have pros and cons with different grand challenges. The minus points of these systems are unpredictability and unemployment, computers gain self-awareness, etc. Electricity blackout is a shortage of electric power or long term loss of the electric power in the particular area. Causes of an electricity blackout are in the electricity network, which includes faults at power stations, damage to electric transmission lines, substations or other parts of the distribution system, a short circuit or the overloading of electricity mains. I want to say one more thing we should control the internet or any technology not to let it control us.

The interests, food, habits, slang, entertainment and also the way of thinking of the younger generation differs from the older generation. These changes are indicative of progress, unfortunately, the older generation find it hard to accept these changes that make the gap wider. They differ in the way of dressing for example, the younger generation wear jeans and stay up to date in their style unlike the older generation. As the older generation has their own style according to their age. So the older generation might find these outfits inappropriate.
