So many people live in Central Mexico. This is because of the fertile soil and the tropical climate. The soil was created by volcanic eruptions. Southern Mexico is the poorest region in Mexico. The coastal lowlands in this region have good soil and plenty of rain. Some farmers in the region grow only food enough to feed their families. They are called subsistence farmers. Other farmers grow plantations. Plantations are large farms that raise one type of crop for income. Explanation- This article gives examples of how indigenous people used to live before the colonization of Christopher Columbus. After the appearance of Christopher Columbus in Mexico different ethnic groups were distributed amongst different states along with their different languages. In the state of Oaxaca there around sixteen different ethnic groups which the Mixtecs and the Zapotecs are the two main ethnos who have continued to expand amongst the territory. During the Spanish conquest the Mixtec and the Zapotecs’ religion was mostly based on belief in the vital force that animated all living things, meaning that they worshiped the land and the creator. Throughout this day there are still indigenous people who believe and practice their ideology, and the “modernized” are set to practice Catholicism.
The people of early Mesoamerica had an abundance of different foods. One main food they had though in the 3 main groups (Aztecs, Olmecs, and Mayans) was maize. Maize is a corn like plant derived from teosinte that was domesticated around seven thousand B.C. to five thousand B.C.. Maize was about seventy percent of the Mesoamerican diet and around twenty one percent was meat . The Olmec’s had corn, beans, squash, and chili peppers (194). Each of their food items went in to a balanced diet of carbs, minerals, and vitamins. According to Concise Thematic Analysis “The Olmec system produced a food surplus that freed members of the community to take on specialized roles” (194) which just goes to show how much was around for them. Mayans ate corn and beans as their most important part of their diets, but also had some small domestic meats such as dog, turkey, duck, and fish. The Mayans also had honey and alcoholic drinks made from a stingless bee. The Aztecs had a good variety of plant foods as well with maize topping the charts of their diet with having other stable foods such as sweet potatoes, tomatoes, beans chilies, squashes (also big in their diet), carrots, etc. They also, had a lot of animals to choose from but they did not

A chinampa was a bit of land in the water , such as a small island, that allowed the Aztecs to grow more crops. To make a chinampa, they sank wood into the water, then filled it up with reeds, mud, and rocks. The crops the Aztecs would grow were red peppers, tomatoes, sage, squash, green beans, potato, sweet potato, avocado, and corn. The Aztec’s agriculture was sophisticated because it allowed them to grow food for over 200 thousand people.

Frances Calderón de la Barca explored Mexico for over two years during her residence away from Spain. During that time, she gave great detail of the life associated with the Mexican people and what it was like for her being a guest in their country. European influence played a major role in creating a stable nation for the country. Their religion has played the biggest part in providing stable principles during this time. In the novel, Life in Mexico, Mexicans have held on to the Spanish influence of Catholicism. Frances Calderón de la Barca gives great detail on how Catholicism has created holidays within Mexico, created numerous churches throughout the country, and influenced the daily lives of the Mexican people.
Most of Nicaragua's people are poor farmers. Many of those in the Pacific Region are peasants who work on their own farms, cooperatives, state farms, or large private farms. In warmer areas, agriculture workers live in metal roofed houses. In the colder areas of the Central Highlands, they live in adobe houses with tile roofs. The only Indian groups in Nicaragua that follow their own languages and their old ways of life are in the thinly populated Caribbean Region.

This distressed situation to jailers and prison authorities. the decision made was that this place is locked up only dangerous prisoners, because in this way would be doubly punished and in turn serve as a lesson to other criminals.
The Maya had to clear through thick tropical forests of northern Guatemala in order to have land and space to farm crops like beans, squash, avocados, and maize. The rich dark soil of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, and Colorado—an area also known as the Great Plains—formed from thousands of years of soil forming factors in action (Surviving the Dust Bowl). From the beginning of human populations living in the area, the soils, for the most part, remained untouched and unscathed by the plow. Thick prairie grasses covered the area and held the soils in the ground even during the periodic times of drought. This area of land was suitable for grazing practices and it was in this area that the large cattle ranches flourished. Little did the newly arrived farmers realize that this seemingly plentiful land followed a pattern of several years of rain followed by several years of drought and high winds.
The Mayan civilization was located in southeastern Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula. One of the first American civilizations, it lasted from about 1000 B.C.-1542 A.D. Their civilization flourished during the Sixth Century. They built many temples and over forty cities. The Mayan population consisted of almost fifteen million people who were all living in one of the many cities. The Mayan people were extremely religious and believed in multiple gods which meant they were polytheistic. Their most commonly worshiped god was the Maize God, or god of corn, as corn was the most grown and most relied on crop. The Mayans grew all of their own food so they needed to have useful farming methods. The one they used most often was the slash and burn method, which involved cutting down trees and burning them to make the soil fertil which was necessary to grow crops. This method worked for many years, but soon started to backfire. The Mayans were ahead of their time, but that did not prevent their mysterious decline which occurred between the years 800 A.D.-900 A.D. He worshiped the Sea that surrounded his land and protected his people, he worshiped the Sun that gave him warmth and grew there crops,he worshiped the Moon that looked down upon him and gave him light when the sun slept, he worshiped the Stars that twinkled at night and surrounded the darkness. But he did not know what these things where. He had no clue that the Moon was a giant rock or the Sun was a big ball of gas. He had no idea what any of these beautiful things where that protected him. so he prayed to them, talked to them thinking they would talk back but they didn't but he knew they where listening.

Introduction: The Mexican revolution of 1910 was not the first revolution but it was, in the long run, efficient in achieving its goals. The year 1876 met Porfirio Diaz as the president of Mexico after his heroic defeat of the oppressive French. His ruling lasted 34 years known as the period of el Porfiriato, a period masked by inequality and unrest. Diaz, in his quest to build Mexico into a capitalist country with political stability, managed to reduce the standard of living for many farmers while increasing the pockets of foreign investors.
