In “Romeo and Juliet by: William Shakespeare” we know that they commit suicide in the end for love and we probably don’t think about it much, but in real life things like that happen. Many teens commit suicide by medicine or drugs which is shown when Romeo thinks Juliet’s dead and drinks the poison. One issue that is proven in “Romeo and Juliet by: William Shakespeare” is that alot of teens today face certain things like depression which cause Teen Suicide.
Teen suicide is a problem that many teens face because of many different things, like depression, parent problems, bullying and much more. In “Romeo and Juliet” one of the causes that also happens to teens is when teens parents are fighting or making them do something they don’t wanna do. “Hang thee, young baggage! / Disobedient wretch!” Romeo and Juliet (4.5.161) This line from “Romeo and Juliet” is an example of how and why many teens consider suicide because when a parent makes them do something they don’t want to then yelling at them on why they don’t want to do that certain thing. This can cause suicidal thoughts because of how the parents reacted and may think my parents don’t care about me which causes the suicidal thoughts.

The way they are both the same is because suicide by drugs (poison) is very common and includes many different reason like in “Romeo and Juliet” they commit suicide because they were in love, today’s teens will say do the same stuff if they were in a relationship and they broke up they thought they loved the person so they decide to kill themselves because of that. There was a couple things that happens to today's teens that was in the pay parents yelling at them and making them love someone they don’t actually love. They are different because teens have many other reasons on why they would kill themselves instead of just one thing over
