The definition of miscommunication comes from the result in failing to communicate adequately. Miscommunication can derive from many issues, some by false civility regarding content used. Which occurs when someone decides to use a form of content that may be considered proper to one group, but rude and offensive to others. An example would be by offending someone by calling them “black,” instead of using the term “African American.” Another cause of miscommunication can derive from sloppy language habits. These accumulate due to our unconscious thinking and speaking patterns that develop over time. These habits increase throughout our daily activities and our relationship to our environment. Miscommunication was the mastermind in a plethora of wars. Miscommunication has led to divorces, fights, failed relationships, and other misfortunes, rather intentionally or unintentionally. One great issue going on today that brings on a civil debate within itself is the war between “Black Lives Matter” and “All Lives Matter” rally for peace. On one end, people take the terms “Black Lives Matter” as in saying that black lives are equally important. While on the other hand, some take the term “Black Lives Matter” as making one race more superior than the other. The debate of BLM is not a debate on rather people consider if black people’s lives matter or not. The debate is all over the use or words used to protest the rally. Majority who are against the BLM movement are at unease because the terms indicates that black lives, and only black lives matter. If we were to look back on our history as a Nation, we would clearly notice that majority of our wars stemmed from a form of miscommunication. When speaking to a divorced couple, you would either hear that their reasons for divorce ranges all the way from financial issues to lack of communication. Who would of thought that something as small as the slip of the tongue, or a small misinterpretation, could be so harmful on the human race. This article helps place better perspective on the cause and effective relationship dealing with miscommunication. The article goes is depth of how one word can cause a clash in what was simply just a protest for equality. A person that wants to say something simply just has to put the word out.
