The American Experience: The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) tells a story from the 1930’s about Clifford Hammond, who joined the CCC in 1934, Harley Jolley, who joined in 1937, Vincente Ximenes who joined in 1938, Houston Pritchett who joined in 1939, and the writer Jonathan Alter. The Vietnam War was one of the most controversial wars in history, perhaps because it was one of the first wars to be documented, filmed and shown on television for most of the public to see, judge, feel and eventually protest against. This essay will discuss the varying experiences of Australian veterans upon their return to Australia from Vietnam. In my opinion, I do believe that the Australian soldiers of the Vietnam War were treated horribly when they got back from Vietnam. Opposition Leader Arthur Calwell and many Australian families who had to fight in the Vietnam War believed that it was a bad idea to send troops. Families watched their men and boys leave for Vietnam as soldiers and came back as disrespected veterans.

Firefighters are more than friends. You can't fight fires with friends. To fight fires you need a brotherhood. The men and women of the fire service across the globe consider each other family, this is one of the grand traditions of the fire department. Firefighters are constantly looking out for one another, thinking about the things they do and how it may affect the other’s lives and safety. Life safety is of the highest priority in the business of fire rescue. To achieve a safety standard there are many tasks that fire personnel are expected to carry out, for both a personal and a team related purpose. One of these tasks is the daily inspection of the fire apparatus upon arrival to the fire station. Furthermore, I also had to include three people that I know

When I entered high school I started volunteering for credits. But it wasn’t until five months ago that I realized the impact of volunteerism. It took me eight years and seven months.

We also have maintenance workers that double as security at the main ER. The pre-hospital emergency services work as an extension of our ERs. They transport patients to and from the ERs, and assist in facilitating quality care to the patients in our communities. For instance, they have the capability to send a 12-lead ECG via fax to the ER to notify of a ST-segment elevation myocardial infarct, often allowing for door to cath lab time to be less than 10 minutes. The main ER also has access to a trauma team, which is a team of hospital staff, including the house supervisor, Intensive Care Unit charge nurse, surgeon, respiratory therapist, lab technician, radiology technician, and chaplain that respond to any moderate or major trauma. Our specialty physicians include orthopedists, pulmonologists, neurologists, pediatricians, cardiologists, psychiatrists, gynecological /obstetricians, otolaryngologists, pain management, hematology/oncologists, and interventional radiologists. Neither ER has full time housekeeping, so the nurses and PCTs are responsible for cleaning rooms and keeping the department clean. Housekeeping is only responsible for cleaning rooms that require specialized treatment, such as isolation
