Kuwait
I have been hired in the international division of Multination Corporation on Kuwait. I was assigned to a country called Kuwait. My company is considering building a factory. The assignment was to recommend or not recommend building in Kuwait. There are issues that need to be considered upon entering Kuwait and my research will outline these issues.
Kuwait is a rich country, they have declare a surplus of KD13 billion.90 percent are not rich or not that rich. They said that there have experience international poverty in the last fifteen days of each month. (Citation life in Kuwait). It is bad because the whole country is poor it is just the people whole are rich. Kuwait is a rich country with a mix of ex pat from parts of the world. Kuwait is known for helping poor countries in need in Africa and Asia. Which is a good thing because there are a lot of people whole need help in this and anything even the littlest thing can make a big difference.
I recommend building a factory in Kuwait for one its economy and country lives on oil, which is why I plan to open a factory. Knowing that the county is all about oil I can get people jobs and make profit. Kuwait said to have more than enough oil to last a hundred years. Knowing that there is oil I Kuwait can see the company making good numbers I would be able to at first the national harbor was Kuwait prime access and valuable asset till oil was found. Today the main Kuwait commercial port its economic continues. Kuwait natural resources include: petroleum, fish, and natural gasses. The economy depends on oil without it the country would not survive.
The money in Kuwait is called Kuwaiti dinar.

Poverty, we hear about it every day. We hear about all the children in Africa, and other developing countries, but what about the countries that already have a stable government and are a first or second world country? It is scarce you hear about poverty in those countries, but it is as every bit as real, and devastating. "A lot of people find it difficult to appreciate that [poverty] is happening on their doorstep and perhaps don't really understand what it means.” -Mary Chandler, head of Save the Children charity. One country that you never would have thought of to have poverty is Wales. Wales has been impoverished for a few years, but the problem seems to be getting worse, and not better.
Kuwait was a small country that had once been part of the Ottoman Empire like Iraq. Then Kuwait had become a British Protectorate from which it had been granted its independence. Its borders had been set in a subjective manner causing it to be difficult to de...
In the post Osama bin Laden era al-Qaedist ideology is flourishing across the Arab world. A significant development has been the rise of al-Qaeda offshoots in the Middle East. The Abdallah Azzam Brigades franchise has increasingly become a noteworthy actor in terrorism. On May 8th, 2012 Thomas Nides, Deputy Secretary of State designated Abdallah Azzam Brigades as a foreign terrorist organization (Nides, T.R. , 2012). Abdullah Azzam Brigades may have only recently been added as a foreign terrorist group; nevertheless the organization has deep roots, lethal capacity, and is capable of contributing to supplementary instability in the Middle East.
The Saudi Arabia is a country with a huge culture and with many traditions. The culture is mostly influenced by their religion that is Islam. An example is that the women there is not allowed to drive a car, they can only got delivered by a family member or a driver. This Law is being used because of the holy Mekka Al-mukara...
In September 1980, Iraq invaded Iran because of a territorial dispute. This led to a long drawn out war that cost many lives and billions of dollars in damages, with either side unable to claim victory. This paper will focus on the three things that distinguish this war from previous wars. First, it was an excessively protracted and attritive war, lasting eight years, essentially destabilizing the region and devastating both countries. Second, it was a disproportionate war in regards to the means employed by either side. Iraq was supported by Kuwait, the United States, and several other Western European countries, allowing them to acquire advanced weapons and expert training (History.com staff, 2009). Lastly, this war used three modes of warfare not seen in previous wars: ballistic-missile attacks, the use of chemical weapons, and attacks on oil tankers in the Persian Gulf (History.com staff, 2009).
The United States of America asked Iraq several times to leave Kuwait, but this led to nowhere (1). There are reasons to which led to this dreadful action. The Iraqi ruler Saddam Hussein said that the surplus production of the oil is one of the reasons that made me conquer Kuwait, which...
At the end of World War I, the British Empire took control of the land, and imposed a monarchy on the region. However, in 1932 the British mandate came to an end, and the Iraqi people came in control of their newly independent country. Led by a series of kings, the country remained sufficiently stable and thrived off of discovered oil in the country. However, due to increased political oppression, a group known as “Free Officers” overthrew the monarchy and instituted a republic government on the land. (Iraq Foreign Policy, Brittanica, 2010)
There is no doubt that, Qatar now is one of the most advanced countries not only in the Arab world but, also in the world. Qatar faced many difficulties to be one of the most advanced nations since the second world war when the pearl price collapsed and exports had been harmed(P:1), but the Qatari people did not yield to that situation. Most of the Naim left Qatar decades before the oil boom(P:3). A similar pattern of tribal groups being incorporated into the state while also losing some of their formal power. Qatar is a stable country and many political scientist at one time predicting its fall, now predict a long- term future for Qatar's existing political system(p:5).
Saudi Arabia, the leader of OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Companies), maintains a powerful position in negotiations with the U.S. and other countries. Its vast supply of oil directly effects per barrel pricing and is a unique bargaining tool in international politics. But Saudi Arabia is no ordinary country in today's world. Its borders are governed by a royal family of nearly 30,000 individuals, all of which share most of the wealth and almost all of the power. Its people, with foreign exceptions, are wholly Islamic and many practice the faith with a frightening sense of devotion. And despite the immense revenue generated by its oil reserves, part of its population still lives in absolute poverty. Although recently it has seen immense change, it is still a country fair behind the progressive world.
Saudi Arabia’s capital market is considered to be young compared to other financial markets in the region. Saudi financial markets have been developing slowly because most enterprises in the country are either government owned or family-owned, most of which was funded through state budget, and as a result reduced the need for financing. In the recent past, Saudi Arabia has focused on a careful measurement for structural developments and regulatory changes. However, different phases of historical development of the capital market which can be classified into three phases; pre-industrialization phase, post industrialization phase and growth phase that sparked changes and shaped the kingdom 's capital market on
Benin’s economics are not as great as a manufacturer owner would want them to be to build a factory in the country. The government of Benin today is more of a democracy type of government. Benin’s economy still remains to be not developed and is mainly based on agriculture. Although it is one of Africa’s biggest cotton producers it ranks among one of the world’s poorest countries. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Benin is $7.557 billion USD. It is that low because they do not have much to offer in the trading business and they do not produce a lot of goods that other countries want to buy. The GDP per capita in this country was last recorded at $1,700 US dollars in 2012. The GDP per capita in Benin is relatively low compared to most of the other countries in the world. This could be a terrible thing because that means its standard of living is not so high and could infer that there is quite a bit of poverty in this country and its wealth overall is not so admirable. A lower standard of living in a country could mean that the area or city is atrocious and or the country’s wages that it has to offer are decumbent. Having that said it could be bad for my company but still an incentive for it as well. The advantage that this could have in the company is ...
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a petrostate. It is a petrostate in the sense that the oil sector dominates the national economy and international exports. (Colgan 226) This is due to Saudi Arabia’s one crop economy, oil. (Ali 100) Oil accounts for 70-80% of the state revenue as well as roughly 95% of export revenues. Before the discovery of oil in the 1930s, the economy rested on Islamic pilgrims. Containing the Grand Mosque, Al-Masjid al-Haram, Saudi Arabia gets a large influx of believers every year for the Hajj, one of the Five Pillars of Islam. During this time of year, income was made by food and shelter sold to the travelers. This was enough to support the state, but not enough to make it the monetary power it is today. What allowed for Saudi Arabia’s climb in the world economic ladder was oil. Oil has been a valuable industrial resource since the beginning of World War 1. Since then the demand for oil has progressively become higher and higher amongst industrial nations, allowing for oil rich states to receive large amounts of affluence. Among these oil rich states is Saudi Arabia, the region with the highest capacity for oil production out of the entire Middle East. From their remarkably high oil production, Saudi Arabia was able to gain considerable amounts of wealth and political significance. Oil in Saudi Arabia politically affected the Saudi government in both their foreign and domestic policy by providing economic power, the ability to fund wars, the ability to use economic diplomacy.
In 1980, the militant state of Iraq, led by President Saddam Hussein invaded the Republic of Iran. Predicted to be an overwhelming victory for Iraq, the war took a different turn. It was an even battle, one that lasted eight years. After these eight years, the Iraqi economy was in a dire situation. Iraq's oil business was losing to other Arab countries such as Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, who were producing more oil for less money. Iraq needed more oil money to support the massive military it had amassed. On August 2, 1990, Iraq decided to invade Kuwait so that they could obtain Kuwait's oil and possibly gain access to the Saudi oil fields. This led to political conflict that eventually started the Gulf War between the US-led UN Coalition forces and Iraq. Although the US was successful in forcing Iraq to retreat from Kuwait, they made a poor exit which allowed Iraq to keep much of their military and left Hussein in power, which in turn caused many problems in the years to come.
For example, a resident of the country of Chad will only bring in $100 each year. Since many people can make more than that in one week, some in one day, can you imagine having the feed a family of five or six, or even a family of two, for only $100 a year? These are the conditions that exist in poverty-stricken countries. There are many reasons why poverty is an increasing problem. The first is delayed modernization.
