...ary knew about the crash and that they were going to transport the wreckage to another military base. Many eyewitness accounts with similar details eliminate the possibility of merely a single person making up the entire event. The government’s contradictory reports demonstrate that their knowledge of the incident is dynamic and dependent on how they want the people to react. This matter is important because it raises the possibility that if the government is hiding information from the public about a spacecraft accident, there may be other incidents where the government is concealing the truth from the public. Despite the government’s best attempts to cover up the Roswell incident, eyewitness accounts from the common person validate the idea that an unidentified flying object crashed in Roswell, New Mexico and eternally changed the lives of several people.

The investigation was also one of the largest international law enforcement endeavors of its time (Birkland, 2004). This tragedy, like most devastating events, changed the course of history and is a directly affected aviation safety as we know it today. The forensic findings during the investigation also helped change aviation safety policy and procedures. The result was improvement in training for airport security personnel, examination of quality control issues and heightened aviation security regulations (Birkland,

The next level is Precondition for Unsafe Acts. Precondition begins at level two and it is dividing into environmental factors, condition of operator, and personnel factors. In regards to Flight 3407, the environmental factors would be the weather condition. Icing was a factor when occurred on the wings. Both pilots were experiencing fatigue during their flight. They have pushed their body to limits where as their reaction times were not fully functional. Furthermore, due to fatigues and not adequate situational awareness, the crew did not perform to their best optimal on the job.

Next is that Southwest is not only with their low prices but is able to create a competitive advantage by offering a fun and humorous experience when flying. Finally another impressive fact is when Herb Kelleher’s retire from CEO position yet remained a Southwest employee till July 2014. Even after the retirement he was still active with the Southwest Airlines that reflected his enthusiasm and dedication for the
9:37 a.m. Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon. The man responsible for flying flight 77 into the Pentagon was Hani Hanjour. He supposedly made a sharp 330-degree turn, almost completely going in circles around the Pentagon, being only inches from the ground, and crashed into the most deserted part of the Pentagon, the western side that has almost no one in it, instead of just flying straight, which would’ve led him directly into the office of the Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Interviews conducted later with Hanjour’s flight instructor reveal that Hanjour wasn’t the best pilot, stating that he was “below average” and even going as far as saying he was a “terrible pilot”. According to his instructor, Hanjour had trouble controlling just
It was the afternoon of July 25, 2000. One hundred passengers, most of them German, boarded the Concorde Air France Flight 4590. Here is an analysis of competition in the commercial aircraft business using Porter’s Five Forces. Figure 1: Porter’s Five Forces Applied to Aircraft Industry. Barrier to entry: - High barriers to entry, to a certain extent, help understand the risks involved in operating in the aircraft industry.
