Nursing Practice in Outpatient Clinic
According to American Nurses Association (2016), nurses conduct health history, physical examinations, deliver education, counseling, promote wellness, handle medication administration, wound care and many other nursing interventions. Nurses use nursing knowledge to critically think, and delivers actions based on evidence based practice. They coordinate and collaborate care with other healthcare professionals. They also provide leadership to other healthcare professionals such as medical assistants, license practice nurses. Conducting research to enhance patient’s outcomes is also one of the key nursing responsibility.

The mission for the clinic is to provide passionate care to individuals who are in need of cardiovascular system care (O’Keefe, 2013). The institution is a not-for-profit care center that is faith-based. It is driven to provide the exceptional health care to all patients. Medical research and education are also focuses of the institution. The goal for the health system is to provide holistic care to a diverse community that we all live in.
Key players
Cardiologists are the key players of the organization. The organization is primarily operated and managed by them. The chief executive officer of the clinic is a cardiologist, along with other to sever the board.

Problem There are many tasks that a registered nurse encounters at an outpatient clinic setting, and how to manage and appropriately resource the nursing task force has been a critical issue. Nursing burn out from both work and non-work stress causes many men and women to yield physiological reactions, which in turn contribute to illness. The infrequent studies on nursing burnout remains an issue. Work stress frequently causes high turnover and nurses calling-in sick, which causes the quality of care to decline.
