Google uses empowerment as one of the main innovative techniques as a way to drive success. They recognize success comes in the form of different people with different ideas. Google’s business model uses strategic innovation exclusively as their approach to provide company growth and high performance results (He, 2013). Because of its success, which produced substantial fiscal resources, the company was awash in cash flow, cash reserve, and lines of credit. GM’s management was the victim of 50 years of industry success. Management was characterized by a bloated, bureaucratic structure that impeded any attempt to improve the corporation. Top management established a fixed objective in the closed decision-making process towards GM’s strategic objectives. There was little to create a realistic Gap analysis, which made is easy to overlook the need to reinvent its management before undertaking the reinvention of the entire corporation.
Google was founded by two University of Stanford graduate students Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Their main objective of founding the company was to be able to retrieve specific data from massive amounts of information. The two developed a proprietary technology that would become the ultimate search engine. Initially the pair worked out of their dorm room, then a garage, and once they had quickly outgrown these "facilities" they had moved on to a much larger facility where they reside to this day. It seemed to be a matter of time before they had conquered the continental United States, and had begun to eye the lands across the pond.

There is plenty of information out there waiting to be found, and it only needs someone to look in the right place. Dressing like a professional does not make a person one. It takes skills, abilities and education. Finally, progress will never stop, and when someone thinks that he or she had reached the top, something will come up. A search engine was built in January 1996, as a research project by Larry Page, who was soon joined by Sergey Brin, two Ph.D. students at Stanford University, California. This search engine was named “BackRub,” and it was the beginning of a new era. The name of this website was changed afterward to what we know now as “Google.” I have been studying the business case of Google in one of my MIS classes and using the information I gained from that course, I am able to talk about Google. Since my audience is the instructor and my classmates, Google helps you find information that you need for your daily life in college. I want my audience to know by the end of my speech about Google //what is the history of Google, /what makes it special, //and lessons to learn from the experience of Google’s founders.
