The public could gain a concern around Aldermore if they had bad press. Aldermore could have bad press due to people not agreeing with the risk policies we have within our business. Due to a lot of other lenders being very strict on what they accept and don't accept is a lot different to Aldermore; we are a lot more lenient on credit and debt, we allow people to have poorly managed credit to a certain extent compared to what other lenders are comfortable to accept. Aside from this, it helps to generate our business name and is a reason why some customers come to us for lending purposes.
We are able to improve this by having stricter policies and not allowing people to come into our business with a history of poor management of mortgages and loans.
Another aspect of bad press we could have is the security we go through. Security never used to be such a huge deal for businesses as it is now; we have improved the way we do things so that we do not give out any personal data

We make sure that, when speaking to brokers and applicants of our mortgage process that we ask a lot of detail regarding the case that would not be known off the tip of their tongue unless it is themselves, that we are speaking to. This helps the bank grow with customers that are happy and trust us to keep their data safe. We have a lot of secured processes and procedures for personal data of our customers and do not allow any personal data to be left around the office. If any paper has customer details on we are to place this in a confidential bin based in our office, this is a procedure we all follow as consequences are available if this is not followed to help our bank not gain bad press and to keep the positive reputation flowing. The public may be concerned about if their property is going to be safe in a sense of the company

The Newham Company is a publicly traded company that recently has had a change in executive management due to an inappropriate bonus structure based on company performance. The audit to follow will be broken down into three parts: Overall business risk, sample audit plan and a report of recommendations based audit results.

Public relations are the practice of distributing the information between an organisation or individual and the public. The aim of PR practitioners by the client is often is to persuade stakeholders, partners, employees, investors and most importantly, the public. The practitioner’s communication stance is reaching the individuals or organisation ultimate goal. However many can examine and scrutinize public relations ethics to assert a PR problem within the industry. All PR organisations and individuals have a code of ethics of which the professionals are expected to follow. Regardless of these guidelines, ethics in individual practices seem to prove continuous and consistent violation worldwide. The James Hardie Industry, a company that is known for knowingly using products that caused thousands of people throughout Australia to grow to become sick and even resulting in death, from its products that produced massive profits is a prime example of the PR problem. However ethical communication and critically reflective practices are procedures that benefit both the public and the organisation when use correctly, opposite to the James Hardie case.
Many small companies believe that a corporate or company image develops all on it’s own. Therefore, they believe the business itself has little or no control over shaping the outcome of the image. Often a company will delay any investment in a public image because they think it’s an expensive luxury. It is only after some bad publicity or a negative event do they relies that some effort needs to be put into improving or defining their look. Of course if you wait until something like this happens the cost is always going to be higher.

The crisis at the Nuance group appears to be a “Reputational” crisis. The case study states that the Nuance Group is “a successful management consulting company.” (Zaremba, 2010) In order to be successful, you must have a positive reputation, which was most likely the case with the Nuance Group. However, as Warren Buffet said, “It takes 20 years to build a reputation and 5 minutes to ruin it”. (Tuttle, 2010) By publishing false information in their brochures, and distributing them to the public, the Nuance Group portrayed themselves as devious and untrustworthy, amongst other negative

What occurred in this case was an advertising agency requested that its bank to look into the credit value of a third party client. The bank then contacted the third parties bank to gain permission for the information to be freely given. They then asked if the client would be a good credit risk for 100,000 (pounds sterling) and the third parties bank replied that the client “was a respectably constituted company and considered good for its normal business requirements” so after hearing this response the advertising agency went ahead to extend the credit to the client. However, the third parties bank statement was in fact untrue and because of this the agency lost over 17,000 (pounds
