The happiness in an adults’ life tends to have a strong correlation with their happiness in their career. Generally the things people are exposed to throughout their lives highly affect their career choices. I want to be a teacher, but I also want to watch my students grow. Being a dance teacher in their own studio would give one the opportunity to grow with their students. In doing so, depending on the relationships made with their students, they would be the one influencing and encouraging their students college decisions. I would like to be a teacher who makes an impact on my students, like some of the dance teacher I have had in my life. The motivation I have gotten from my dance teacher has been phenomenal, I am basing my life decisions on the decisions they have made. I want to be a teacher my students can look up to and confide in. If it wasn’t for my current dance teacher Jenna Petroff, I don’t think I could have made it through my senior year. I plan to make relationships with my students that I will still remember when I am retired,I want to have a career that people will be amazed with. Imagine being at a gathering with some other teachers, their reactions to you telling them you not only own and manage your own studio, but that you also teach there. as well as at a high school They will be astounded at the fact that you can manage so much, and still be successful and happy. Being a dance teacher will be natural for me, it’s what I have done my entire life, I will be happy with nothing less. As a senior in high school, I believe that it is of utmost importance that all seniors be at a point in knowing what they plan to do after high school. I often hear kids say that they don’t know what they want to do after hig... ... middle of paper ... ...entury Scholar. There are many talent based scholarships I can apply for, which I plan to do if my mother cannot afford to but through children through college simultaneously. While college can be a costly experience that determines what you shall do for the rest of your life, it is important, for it has a direct correlation to your happiness. The influence I have on the generation below me will be of much relevance when I become a dance teacher. I want to push children in the right direction, for that is what my teachers have done for me. Dance is a beautiful art and I think it should be passed on from generation to generation. Money doesn’t mean a lot to me, for I care more about my happiness than anything at all. Doing something that comes natural to me is what I want to spend the rest of my life doing, and being a dance teacher will give me that opportunity.
From the time a child enters preschool, teachers begin asking a common question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” That dreaded query has always haunted me, mostly because the way it was redundantly asked put a ton of pressure on me and my peers. The question was like a rusty nail being hammered into our head’s by society. I continuously had the cliché answers of becoming a doctor, teacher, or a police officer, but with serious reservations. After years of not having a clue, I started to think about what I like to do after the stresses of work and school were gone at the end of the day.

People after high school should have a plan, well at least an idea. That idea will depend on the person and the person’s idea of what they want to do for themselves after high school. I am sure that no one’s parents will say to their kid,” stay home and not go to work”. Let’s say a person wants to go to the Coast Guard, well that is very vague and there are many things the Coast Guard offers. Let’s say they wanted to go to the Coast Guard but didn’t know how. Here’s how to get started.
As we begin to grow up and come to the end of our high school career we must start to begin to start thinking about what type of career we want to be in. It is very important that a person picks the right type of career for them. Otherwise you will be unhappy with what you are doing and will not enjoy it at all. I am not entirely sure what I want my career to be but I have a pretty good idea as to what type of job it will be. I would like to go into the field of a physical therapist and sports medicine, I fell I will enjoy this more than any other type of career just because I already have a lot of interest in it.
When I grow up I would like to be a construction worker. Construction workers are the men and women that you see working on various construction sites, for example residential construction, highway construction, commercial construction, and more. I chose this career because I enjoy working in the outdoors as well as building structures. It is important to understand the education or training requirements, skills, or talents needed, salary and benefits offered and the duties for a particular career when making this decision.
You go three years of high school preparing for college and at the same time having fun. Until you are in your senior year of high school that’s when you realize and start asking your self what college do I want to go to? Or what college career I want to pursue? That’s when you notice you have but so little time to answer these questions. Me I’m in my last year of high school and I though I already knew what career I wanted to pursue, but its now that I notice that not even I know what I’m going to do with my life? All I’m sure of its that I’m going to graduate out of high school with a diploma and that I’m going to college. But what happens after that? What major did I study? Or where did I go to accomplish my goal?
The other day I was talking to a lady who had her PhD in dance. She was able to teach dance all over the world, and she became a professor. The reality is that many people who get degrees in dance don't end up making all that much money, and if they dance professionally it's hard to keep up as they get older, the younger generation just has too much energy and agility to compete with, and your knees only hold out for so long. Not just for dance, you can ask any professional athlete. Speaking of which very few ever make the grade, but let's talk about that for a second shall we?

To begin out of the countless professions one has to chose from in the world today I have chosen to become a teacher. I have chosen to become a teacher because I myself am a product of some whom I consider to be the best teachers in the world. As a child in North Carolina I was inspired by a wonderful woman named Mrs. Hollyfield. Mrs. Hollyfield taught me that no star was too far out of reach, if I put my mind to accomplishing my goal I could make it. Mrs. Hollyfield inspired me to be the best I could be at anything I wanted to be. As I have grown I have had other important teachers, some whom I am surrounded by daily whom inspire me to set out to accomplish my dreams. These wonderful inspiring people in my life have led me to the decision of becoming a teacher.
Through my own experiences, and as enforced by others' opinions in the profession, I have found that teaching is one of the most rewarding careers. Not only are you placed in the position of instructing and guiding children and young adults through the life long learning process, but you are able to give back to the schools and communities which have supported your early education and experiences that opened you up to a bright future. In becoming an educator, I hope to someday share the knowledge and lend the helping, supportive hand that I was once given, allowing students to formulate their own perspectives of the multicultural society and world around them. Teaching is a career I have been interested in pursuing throughout high school, and as my experiences and study in the field expands, I feel that my desire to teach will grow stronger and develop more soundly.
All college students should partake in career exploration project because it gives structure and direction. The result from an assessment identifies and prioritizes which careers will best suit an individual person or student. It does not necessarily mean they have to pick that particular job or career; it gives them more chooses to choose from. What will I do for the rest of my life? Every person asks this question at some stage of their life, usually during their later teenage years. As a high school junior, I am now asking myself this question. After considerable thought, I have devised a tentative plan for my future. I realize that some of these plans and goals may change over time, but with a plan, the first steps of the journey can begin. To prepare me for the journey, I have taken very challenging high school curriculum, such as Honors and Advanced Placement courses. These classes will not only assist in my admission to college, but have also helped me to develop strong study skills and time management.
As I reflect and look at my career journey, I realize that I have not really had a career journey. I have held a few jobs; however, I have not had a job I would consider my career yet. Furthermore, I only worked for a couple of months in each of the jobs I had in the past. Currently, I do not have a job yet, and I realize that I am now 24 years of age and should be starting my way to my career. However, I have not looked into jobs in my career field because I feel as though I am not ready yet to start working in my field.
When I think of becoming a teacher I would like to imagine or hope that I would be “turning the key” for a student of mine to become something great. I have been soul searching for many years now to have a better understanding of what I am suppose to do in my life. I have worked in so many jobs in so many areas but nothing was fulfilling my life with any amount of meaning. I found myself not wanting to go back the next day or wishing I were somewhere else. Well I guess everyone does that is what I would tell myself.
