For this thesis, I will explain and provide evidence for painting car rims yourself and its benefits both astatically and financially. My interest in this topic started with a car show I attended some time ago. I met an older gentleman which at one time worked for Ford Motor Company, located in our lake sister state of, Michigan. I liked a pair of rims and was contemplating buying them due to the condition of the rims I had at the time. He explained to me that I could black out my rims myself if that’s what I wanted. Which was exactly what I wanted. It’s a science but I have come to learn it’s also a skill. The products needed for such a job would be a wax and grease removing solvent, rubbing alcohol, a wire or very hard bristly brush of some sort, tire shine gel, index cards, soapy water, primer, and of course the spray paint and these products can be found at your local auto parts store and may vary in quality. This task does take some research as to product type and which is best to use for your task at hand. As you gather your products and have kept in mind the rim material being refurbished you are now ready to start the second preparation step and this would consist of retrieving the cars Jack or my recommendation would be to use/obtain a hydraulic car jack for an easier removal of the car rims. You first want to raise the car with the car jack of your choice assuming you have are aware of what actions are needed to remove a car tire, if you don’t I suggest your start there and ask for some help with this task for safety concerns. Assuming you are familiar with such a task start with either the left or right side of the car and if possible attempt to remove two car rims at the time but if for some reason this cannot be done such as the size of the vehicle then one tire removal at a time would be
