For this thesis, I will explain and provide evidence for painting car rims yourself and its benefits both astatically and financially. My interest in this topic started with a car show I attended some time ago. I met an older gentleman which at one time worked for Ford Motor Company, located in our lake sister state of, Michigan. I liked a pair of rims and was contemplating buying them due to the condition of the rims I had at the time. He explained to me that I could black out my rims myself if that’s what I wanted. The products needed for such a job would be a wax and grease removing solvent, rubbing alcohol, a wire or very hard bristly brush of some sort, tire shine gel, index cards, soapy water, primer, and of course the spray paint and these products can be found at your local auto parts store and may vary in quality. This task does take some research as to product type and which is best to use for your task at hand. As you gather your products and have kept in mind the rim material being refurbished you are now ready to start the second preparation step and this would consist of retrieving the cars Jack or my recommendation would be to use/obtain a hydraulic car jack for an easier removal of the car rims. You first want to raise the car with the car jack of your choice assuming you have are aware of what actions are needed to remove a car tire, if you don’t I suggest your start there and ask for some help with this task for safety concerns. Assuming you are familiar with such a task start with either the left or right side of the car and if possible attempt to remove two car rims at the time but if for some reason this cannot be done such as the size of the vehicle then one tire removal at a time would be

The chassis is often regarded as the skeleton of the car. This skeleton is just not any skeleton. It should be able to handle a lotta stress when the car is experiencing enormous cornering G forces. These forces are brutal and the car would just fall apart if its not properly engineered. And moreover, just giving a heavy metal chassis is not going to suffice. The car should also be light. Heavy metals would by no doubt, make the car rigid as a bus. But a bus isnt something that we would call, sporty in any way. On some vehicles it maybe better to remove the body of the vehicle from the frame. this will require unhooking everything from the fire wall of the vehicle. Sometimes this will take lots of time. remember to label all the wires when removing them this will help in the reinstallation process. Step 2: Remove the wheel cover by prying it away from the rim using the flat end of the lug wrench. If your vehicle is equipped with custom wheel covers or locking lug nuts, consult the owner's manual for proper removal instructions.
Then, you remove the hubcap, when doing this don’t remove the lug nuts at this point just loosen them by turning the wrench counter-clockwise. But if the lug nuts are really tight, try placing the wrench on the nut and standing on the wrench arm using all your weight or use a rock to loosen the lug nuts. As well as this, you would use the jack to lift the vehicle off the ground. Before doing so you may need to look in your owner’s manual for a specific location to put the jack. Once the jack is in the correct spot, make sure it is secure and jack up the car until the tire is about 6 inches off the ground. Then, after jacking the car up remove the lug nuts and remove the tire off the car. When removing the lug nuts place them in a pile that won’t scatter. Pull the tire straight toward yourself to remove it from the wheel base. After removing the tire from the wheel base, put the spare on the car and line up the lug nut posts with the holes in the spare, then push the spare all the way onto the wheel base until it can’t go any farther. Further to lining up the lug nut posts, put on the lug nuts but don’t put them on tightly. Make sure they’re on enough for the spare to stay

A fast car should be designed with aerodynamic surfaces for a balance of maximum production of downforce and minimum drag creating surfaces. It should have as small an engine as possible to reduce mass and reduce the necessary size of the frontal area, but a large enough engine to be able to produce enough horsepower to be able to create more force than the resistance the car faces to accelerate and enough to balance with those forces at high speeds. The tires should be wide enough for fast acceleration and good cornering but not so wide it creates large amounts of rolling resistance. Your overall best example of such a car would be formula one races or Indy cars because they have to have good handling, fast acceleration and reach and maintain high speeds.
Cars have gone through many changes throughout the years. We have seen car designs from the 40’s land boats, all the way to the exotic styles we see today. People tend to look past the fact that cars are not only just a form of transportation, but also a passion and an art style, that has been carried down throughout the years. Cars are a way for an artist to express themselves through time, and hard work.
