Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee was a book that spoke of different Indian tribes and the many depressing events that happened. In each chapter Dee Brown the author spoke thoroughly about each tribe and the major events that happened during their eras. Dee Brown started with the Europeans, how Christopher Columbus set foot on San Salvador and made friends with the Indians in the 1400’s. The Indians and Englishmen lived in peace for many years. But because of the increase in white people the Indians were asked to give up more than land than they already had given up. Around 1670’s is when King Philip of the Wampanoag’s concluded that the Indians were in for a fight against the whites to defend their land that the Great Spirits had left for them.
