Part A:
Burberry is one of the worlds top leading luxury brands best known for the creation of the trench coat. The brand was created by Thomas Burberry in 1856 at the age of 21. Thomas had studied the art of drapery prior to launching his own company. His first store was created in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England, where he focused on creating outerwear to survive the English weather. In 1879 Thomas Burberry invented the Gabardine fabric which was a breathable and lightweight fabric that had been proven to be water-resistant. This innovative fabric was the beginning of Thomas’s success, launching his company and designs into uncharted territory.
In 1886 Thomas opened his first storefront in London, England, 30 years after he began his business.

This allowed customers to connect with the brand and create unique coats that were one of a kind. Some years later the Burberry Bespoke campaign is still in place however it has lost its touch with customers. In 2017 the only customizable features of the trench coat on Burberry Bespoke is the ability to select the length and the colour or the jacket. This truly limits the customizable features and removes the individualized touch that Burberry had implemented to connect with their customers
To conclude, the capability to create customized clothing is becoming undemanding as technology evolves. Ready made apparel was only available in predetermined sizes before the American Civil War, this exemplifies how the sizes were arbitrary and were not the same on a broad scale. The statement “The wealthy’s clothes were made by tailors” is a prime example of how tailored outfits are costly. Today, designers have computer-aided design to their disposal; this improved the creation of clothing in many ways, making it effortless to design the clothing and to also produce them. With the creation of new technology making clothes, fabrics will become easier.
The best way to keep your clothes looking their best is to use the proper cleaning methods for each garment. A Burberry Coat is a garment, which if it is cared for properly, can give you a lifetime of wear.

During the Great Depression, while the competitors were cutting costs and reusing outdated designs, Kress was expanding and building more elaborate stores than their previous ones. The architecture was referred to as an “emporium” evoking an elegant atmosphere more suited to a fine cloth or furniture store in New York rather than the five & dime stores dotting small town America. Many wonder what the driving force was behind these design decisions, especially during a national time of economic recession. Perhaps simply to outpace the competition, but perhaps more importantly Samuel Kress was an avid art collector and a proponent of public art enhancing a community. In this way the Kress legacy of the brand became more than a retail business, it became a symbol of small town civic pride.
At age 25 he opened his first collection and it was a big success, inspired by his mentor Balenciaga. The collection was based on evening wear as well as economical white cotton shirts that were both inexpensive and fresh-looking. After that collection, his name was recognizable and his biggest success was the “Bettina” blouse; named after the famous Paris’ top model. This blouse was his signature piece in his cotton collection. Givenchy’s philosophy was: “Keep it simple. Eliminate everything that interferes with the line.” ...

The designer label Burberry was rescued from the dusty discount bin in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and transformed back into a major fashion brand, before being successfully spun off by owners GUS as a separate company. It is one of the few distinctively British designer fashion labels.
For Mr. Lauren, the starting point is always his concern for quality and attention to detail, while the creative drama comes from his own romantic sense of elegance and reverence for authencity. A luxury good is something that, as ones income increases; the demand for an item or service also increases at a higher than proportional level, in contrast to necessity goods, in which demand increases proportionally with a decrease in income (Varian, 1992). Generally, luxury goods are seen as those at the highest end of the market, in terms of price and quality. Haute Couture clothing, accessories and luggage are considered to be classic luxury goods, although many markets have a luxury sector, for example Automobile, Bottled Water, Coffee, Foods, Jewellery, Sound Systems (HiFi), Tea, Watches, Wine and Yacht.
In 1969, Don Fisher opened the first Gap store in direct response to frustrations he was feeling as an inconvenienced customer. There are many businesses that are said to have started out of the back of a car purely for exaggeration reasons. In the case of Under Armour, that is a clear fact. The founder of the company, Kevin Plank, started his unofficial business in 1996 when he was just 23 years young. Planker formally played football at the University of Maryland and that is where his business idea sprang from. During practices, Planker would have to continually change his sweat soaked t-shirts during a single practice.
The story behind the birth of jeans emerges from an interesting collaboration between an innovative tailor and a bright businessman. In 1853, Levi Strauss established a whole dry goods business in San Francisco, selling clothing and many other products to small general stores all through the west of America. One of many regular costumers was Jacob Davis, a tailor in Reno Nevada, who used to purchase his work material from the whole sale house of Levi Strauss & Co. At some point, Davis invented the process to rivet the pocket corners on men’s pants to make them stronger. Having earned great success, Davis decides to write to Levi Strauss, suggesting that they jointly apply for a patent; and Levi agreed. Consequently, in 1873, Levi Strauss & Jacob Davis are granted a patent on the process of riveting pants by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on May 20. It is patent number 139,121 and this is the invention of the blue jeans.
In 2016, Bed Bath & Beyond had the largest market share of any home goods retailer in the country with over ten billion dollars in sales (Statista, 2017). The next closest in sales was Ikea with just under seven billion in sales (Statista, 2017). Bed Bath & Beyond appears to be thriving in some areas; they have an efficient store set-up, a variety of products that appeal to their multiple target markets, and the supplier network to keep up with any fluctuation in demand (Zacks Equity Research, 2017). However, there is a multitude of options that Bed Bath & Beyond can use to improve their sales. For example, they could begin by assessing their products and inventory since the economies of the countries that Bed Bath & Beyond has stores in are

While growing up, I realized the benefits a person has when they personally own their own business. You can make your own schedule, personally control your finances, and essentially have complete control of your business Of course upon this realization; I came to the conclusion that I was going to be my own boss. I have always taken pride in how I present myself including how I dress. The limitless nature of fashion and its versatility has always intrigued me. One empowering aspect of clothing that is so fascinating is how it enables people to express themselves. Because of these interests, I have come to the conclusion that I wish to own a fashion boutique. In order to pursuit the path of becoming a fashion boutique owner, it is essential that I obtain a degree in business management, evaluate my own skills that make me ideal for the job, and
