In Brutus’ Diary Entry, you learn about what Brutus was truly thinking to himself before he killed Caesar. I chose to write a Diary Entry because it is more interesting to learn what’s going on inside a person’s head, because it could always be the exact opposite than what comes out of their mouth. In Brutus’ Diary Entry, you are given an inside look to how he was a tragic hero. Pay attention to how often he questions if what he is doing is right. Brutus second guesses himself but then reminds himself why he should carry out Caesar’s murder. This entry is referring to Act II Scene 1, when Brutus is pacing deciding if Caesar should die or not. Next, there is a General Partnership Agreement, stating that the Conspirators are signing to obey the deed hat is; kill Caesar. I chose to show a G.P.A. because it is emphasizing the importance of how Cassius came with other members to join the Conspiracy, and he believed they should sign an oath. He is reflecting on the day he fled Rome to stay clear of the mobs turned against him during Antony’s speech. I chose to write a poem by Brutus, because many things can be more in depth in a poem, apart from a diary entry. Poem have a more mature, and stable sound, rather than something told straight from the mind. It shows Brutus as a tragic hero by explaining what he remembers and how he fears what could’ve happened if he and the other conspirators would have stayed in the city. The way he rhymes his lines to have a sad outtake on the loss of his friend, is very noticeable in the poem. This poem is referring to Act IV Scene 1, when Brutus awaits the arrival of Cassius, and so he has time to reflect on what has happened recently.
