The story is about the childhood of one of the most famous American writer, Mark Twain, who is also known as the name Sammy. At the beginning of the story, Sammy was with his family on the trip from Salt River to Florida for making a house-rising. It was really a big work picnic. The women took along great baskets of food while the men rolled logs and built the new house. On the following days, his mom brought her children to Uncle John’s store for buying new clothes. Sammy seemed disappointed with the dark calico his mom chose. Therefore, he began to cry and forced her to choose the bright striped fabric. Finally, they showed up in the party as a handsomest and brightest of all as his mom agreed with him. On the way, Clemens’ family had new members which was the new kittens. Sammy and Margaret chose to give them Bible names “here’s Peter and there’s Paul”, “this one is Simon”, “that one over there shall be called Methuselah, who live so long”. While crossing the river in the steam boat. Sammy was really angry because the bad treatments of the slave owners to their own slaves. Sammy reached Bear Creek after that. Unfortunately, he fell to the river while trying to shoot a frog. As luck would have it, some slave boys in a boat came by before Sammy fell back into the river and save him. They soon became friends together and enjoyed talking together. Sammy didn’t have good day at school he was spanked by his teacher. Therefore his mother decided never send him to Mrs. Horr’s school again. In summer, Sammy was sent to Uncle John to live. Besides the lessons, the author described really deeply about Mark Twain characteristics, which show us a deeply understanding about Mark Twain. The story shows us how diligence Sammy was. Even when he was twenty years old. He still learning. His steamboat experience taught him how to remember and keep careful notes. His reading gave him a great knowledge of history and poetry. Working on different wallpaper taught him to report what’s happenings. The book also show use about what Mark Twain interested in when he was young, but some of them didn’t have any clue to prove it. The book was really useful for biography. Moreover, by using simple words, it’s useful for children to learn more about history and poetry.
The characters in this story are some very interesting people. They each lead their own way of life, and have their own interests at heart. Some of the main characters in this novel are: Sarny, Lucy, Miss Laura, Bartlett, Stanley, and Sarny's two children Little Delie, and Tyler. Sarny is the central character in this book. She is clever and knows exactly what to even in the worst of times. She is very emotional though, and can break down and cry when the slightest of things happens. This is perhaps from what she has experienced as a slave earlier on in her life. Sarny is fond of teaching people, as a friend named Nightjohn once taught her. Lucy is Sarny's close friend. She is also quite wise, but is a bit too optimistic at times. She never stops smiling and is very friendly. However, she does help Sarny find her lost children. Miss Laura is a middle-aged woman who lives a very luxurious life. She gives Sarny and Lucy a place to live and offers them employment. She also finds Sarny's children for her. Bartlett works for Miss Laura as well. He is a quiet and patient man who is helpful and quite kind. He was however castrated as a young slave boy, and cannot have children. Stanley is Sarny's second husband, for her first died from being worked to death on the plantation. Stanley is a gentle, big, fun-loving man, but is not intimidated by anything. This leads him to his death when he gets mad at a white man, and is confronted by the Ku Klux Klan. Little Delie and Tyler are Sarny's lost children. After she recovers them, and they grow up, Little Delie starts to like business, while Tyler wants to become a doctor.

This novel is about a teenage boy by the name of Huck Finn whose father is an alcoholic. Because of his violence, Huck runs away and finds a runaway slave Jim. Instead of turning Jim in, Huck goes against society and makes a decision to help Jim break free from slavery. As they travel together, Huck learns more and more about Jim and starts to understand that the common stereotype of black people is wrong. Huck sees there is no difference between Jim and any white man he knows except for skin color. Risking his life and overcoming many difficulties on the way, Huck succeeds in freeing Jim. Focusing on racism, alcoholism and mob mentality, Mark Twain uses his enthusiastic style of writing and satirizes the three traits throughout the novel.

This book is about the adventures Huck Finn takes to get away from his drunkard father. When Huck gets suck of his father he decides to run away to Jackson’s Island which is in the middle of the Mississippi river. On the island he ends up finding Jim who is a slave of Miss Watson’s. Jim wants to be a free slave so they both decide to head to the Free states. On the way Huck and Jim run into some obstacles. They somehow end up in a feud with the Grangerfords and Sheperdsons also they meet two thieves. After facing all of these problems, Huck decides to go to the Phelps’ who are actually related to Tom Sawyer and were expecting to see Tom. Knowing this, Huck decides to act as Tom for a while. By the end of the story word comes out the Jim was already free. He was free because Miss Watson had passed away and had freed him before she did. At the end of the story huckleberry decides again that he will go north without telling anyone.

At first sight it might seem that Huckleberry Finn might be an uneducated boy who has no interest or probability of growing mature. However, throughout the story the immature boy has plenty of encounters which strengthen his character and lead him from boy- to manhood.
