Blue Jays favor habitats with many oak or beech trees, oftenly common in well-wooded suburbs or even city parks. Place in the Food Chain: A Blue Jay feeds on seeds, hard nuts, and will sometimes store them in holes in the ground. You are able to buy bird food at the store that is for Blue Jays that have only seeds and nuts in them. "Blue Jay Webpage | Publish with Glogster!" Glogster. N.p., n.d. Web. 24 Feb. 2016. Blue Jays also eat Blue Jays modify the abiotic environment by taking some trash that they will find and build a nest with it. They will use things like straws or other stick like figures that will make a nest. They will also use paper in their nests. Small pieces of paper build a smooth wall for their nest. Caterpillars: Where one kills and the other is prey The Blue Jay will eat a caterpillar. The symbiotic relationship would be predation. The Blue Jay will hunt down the caterpillar. Once it finds a caterpillar, it will kill and eat it. The caterpillar will become the Blue Jay’s food. Hawk: Where one kills and the other is prey A Hawk will eat a Blue Jay. The symbiotic relationship would be predation. The hawk will hunt down and kill a Blue Jay. The Hawk is an omnivore which means it will eat meat along with For example, if a tornado came through where a Blue Jay was, the Blue Jay could be sucked up into the tornado and most likely to be killed. Another example would be that the tornado would break all the trees and kill them. If there were eggs in that tree, those eggs are probably broken and the babies inside would be killed. Also tree is their habitat. They live in trees and if a tornado destroys the trees then the Blue Jay will have to find a new home. High Winds: High Winds would affect a Blue Jay because high winds can sometimes pick up objects and make them fly through the air. If a Blue Jay is low enough that the object could hit the Blue Jay and either really hurt the bird or even kill it. Also with high winds, the Blue Jay can be flying and the high wind could push the Blue Jay into a tree or to the ground. Flood: A flood would affect a Blue Jay because everything would be under water. There aren’t going to be many places for that Blue Jay to land. They could be flying around and get really tired and fall into the water and drown. How Blue Jays Affect the Environment: Blue Jays affect the environment because they are part of the food chain. If the Blue Jays disappeared, then the whole food chain would be jumbled up. The animals that eat Blue Jays will have less food. The animals that the Blue Jays eats could
They come in various shapes, sizes, and colors, and are different in so many ways, but in the end, they all need each other to survive. This is the beauty of nature, in its most purest form, it is the perfect symbiotic
It is normal for two organisms in nature to have a symbiotic relationship in which both rely on each another in order to mutually benefit. However, sometimes one organism becomes greedy and decides to unfairly take more instead of equally sharing with their symbiotic partner. By doing so the relationship becomes parasitic. Toni Morrison's Sula, focuses on this exact transformation in the friendship between Sula Peace and Nel Wright from their close childhood to their diverging paths as adults in their hometown Medallion.
Barn Burning Throughout the story “Barn Burning”, author William Faulkner conveys the moral growth and development of a young boy, as he must make a critical decision between either choosing his family and their teachings or his own morals and values. The reader should realize that the story “Barn Burning” was written in the 1930’s, a time of economic, social, and cultural turmoil. Faulkner carries these themes of despair into the story of the Snopes family. Faulkner opens the story, “Barn Burning” in a southern courthouse room of the during the Civil War reconstruction era, also a time of social, cultural, and economic instability.
A symbiotic relationship is mutual benefit and dependence between two people that may seem dissimilar, but can be achieved if they work together. In a relationship where people are depending on and supporting each other, they may begin to rely on each other to survive. In the Bean Trees, Barbara Kingsolver writes about the Wisteria Vine and Rhizobia. The Wisteria vine thrives in poor soil because of the Rhizobia, a bug that lives underground in the roots of the Wisteria. They turn the soil into fertilizer so that the vine can live. In turn the vine provides a home for the microscopic bugs. Like the Wisteria Vine and Rhizobia need the other, Kingsolver introduces characters that have symbiotic relationships which emphasizes the importance of

For the author, the blues are more universal than a specific type of music. The narrator describes that the blues are "the tale of how we suffer, and how we are delighted, and how we may triumph." With this quote, the story "Sonny's Blues" is actually a blues piece: it starts with the suffering that the two brothers face, continues with their developing communion, and ends with brotherly love and triumphs over loneliness and suffering. The story "Sonny's Blues" is like Sonny's actual music, because it tries to bring people together and, through that link of grace and understanding, to relieve suffering. The author is not playing the blues but actually putting it down in writing. The title "Sonny's Blues" doesn’t describe the music Sonny plays but it tells Sonny's story of suffering and overcoming his obstacles, through his music.

Its teeth, like most shark teeth, have an upper tooth that does the tearing of flesh while the lower teeth puncture and hold onto prey [1]. The typical diet of a blue shark is mammalian carcasses, cuttlefish, octopus, smaller sharks, sea birds, crustaceans, but most important part of the diet is squid. In the documentary Blue Planet, it shows a blue shark preying upon a group of krill, which seems interesting considering the size of the shark. They attack like most sharks, with one large bite and wait for the prey to bleed to death
American Crows can reach a length between 17 to 21 inches, with a wingspan of 39 inches, while the Common Raven is a larger bird that has an average length of 24 inches (Burton et al. 2010; Marzluff et al, 2013). Both the American Crow and the Common Raven have black coloration, but their feathers and beaks differ. Common Ravens have a larger, stronger beak, a wedge-shaped tail, and spikey feathers on their throat. American Crows, on the other hand, have a smaller and less bulky bill, smooth throat feathers, and they have tail feathers that fan out instead of forming a wedge (Marzluff et al, 2013). The two birds have different styles of flying.
Often in nature organisms rely on one another to survive. Relationships in which each partner gives equally are called symbiotic. The two partners live harmoniously along side one another depending on each other but still have the ability to stand and act alone should they need to. However, these perfect relationships do not always exist. Sometimes, certain organisms take more than they give and as a result the other organism suffers. Those that do this are called parasites. In Toni Morrison's novel, Sula, Sula Peace and Nel Wright demonstrate a symbiotic relationship gone awry. The two start off learning from each other and giving to each other equally, but as they spend more time together Sula seems to thrive and Nel seems to wither away. The relationship does not continue in this manner for Nel realizes that in order to survive she must remove Sula from her life and reverse the negative effect of their relationship. Using the relationship that she develops between Nel and Sula, Morrison implies that codependence can be compromising to oneself, suggesting that if one cannot stand on their own the result will be fatal.
Tornadoes are one of the deadliest and most unpredictable villains mankind will ever face. There is no rhyme or reason, no rhythm to it’s madness. Tornados are one of the most terrifying natural events that occur, destroying homes and ending lives every year. April 29th, 1995, a calm, muggy, spring night I may never forget. Jason, a buddy I grew up with, just agreed to travel across state with me so we could visit a friend in Lubbock. Jason and I were admiring the beautiful blue bonnets, which traveled for miles like little blue birds flying close to the ground. The warm breeze brushed across the tips of the blue bonnets and allowed them to dance under the perfectly clear blue sky. In the distance, however, we could see darkness. A rumbling sky was quickly approaching.
In essence, symbiosis is an important interaction amongst organisms. This is clearly evident in marine organisms. Without symbiotic relationships like commensalism, marine animals would not be surviving and maintaining as well as they are now.
Another species built nets that covered an area the size of a tennis court. Ants know the best time to build a nest, that’s after it rains. The damp soil is easier to work with. There are many chambers in an ants nest. Some rooms are used to store the food.
A tornado is a violently rotating column of air that extends from a thunderstorm cloud to the earth’s surface. They are sometimes nicknamed twisters because of their shape and because of what they do. The winds in the tornadoes are usually 100mph or less. In +F4's they can exceed 250mph. They usually stay on a track of a few miles or less and are less than 100 yds. wide. For the development of tornadoes there are a few conditions required. An abundant low-level of moisture and unstable atmosphere is required not only for the tornado, but for a thunderstorm also. A “trigger”, which is a cold front or low level zone of converging winds, is needed to lift the moisture and the air. When the air rises , it becomes saturated and continue to rise higher and higher. They then form in areas where winds at all levels of the atmosphere are strong and turn clockwise with height. Some tornadoes appear as a funnel shape and some have a churning smoky look . Some contain multiple vortices , which are small individual tornadoes rotating around a common center. Some can be invisible , with only swirling dust or debris at ground level as the only indication of the tornado’s presence. Tornadoes can occur at any time of the year, and anywhere in the world. The unique geography of the US is what helps us produce some of the most violent tornadoes because of the favorable condition’s for their development . The months with the greatest amount of tornadoes are April, May and June .
