This paper is intended to persuade readers to watch the blockbuster movie ‘Black Panther’. This movie chronicles the action-packed events of T’challa, the newly crowned king of Wakanda. When a trained-to-kill adversary reappears in Wakanda, T’challa has to battle to keep his crown and superhero Black Panther powers. If T’challa is defeated, the entire world will be at risk of danger. ‘Black Panther’ has an all-star cast, breathtaking scenes and holds many positive messages. Everyone should see ‘Black Panther’. You do not have to be an avid reader of comic books or a die hard fan of superhero movies to enjoy this film. Most of the actors in this film have starred in many movies, leaving them with the talent and experience to perfectly portray the characters seen in “Black Panther”. Chadwick Boseman is Black Panther. He draws the audience in with his humbling strength. Boseman has portrayed Jackie Robinson and James Brown in movies such as “Get On Up” and “42”. Angela Bassett plays the Queen of Wakanda and the mother of T’challa. Bassett is great in the role, and the actress could feel the energy on the set as everyone was collaborating to make what would become one of the highest grossing superheroes films ever made. (Wood, 2018) Forest Whitaker play Zuri, the loyal advisor of the king. He was previously seen in movies such as Star Wars: Go Rogue and Taken 3. Wakanda is a fictional country but it comes to life in this film. Wakanda is the richest and most technologically advanced country on the planet. This is unknown to the rest of the world because Wakanda is hidden in plain sight. Each scene that uses Wakanda as a backdrop is visually stunning. During the course of this film you become enthralled in a fantasy world that is virtually perfect. ‘Black Panther’ exemplifies feminine strength. The women in this movie are essential in helping to protect land of Wakanda. Shuri, the princess and the sister of T’challa, is the person that develops all of the recent technological advancements of Wakanda. Without her, the Black Panther would not have his suit and Wakanda would not have life-saving technology. This is a very motivating and affirming movie for girls and women.
