Through his actions, Bill Gates has proved to be an ethical yet a capitalist. When doing this, he does not use any harmful trickery to get what he wants. Bill Gates is committed to ensuring that all students in the U.S have the opportunity to receive a higher education. With this idea in mind, Gates created a program called College Ready Education. These programs ensure that all high school graduates are prepared to succeed in college. Besides that, Bill Gates also empowers others to do what they want. Gates stated, “As we look ahead into the next century, leaders will be those who empower others” (Bill). Gates has empowered many foundations with his speeches. He has given speeches about how it is okay to not do your best but still win in life. Bill Gates, including many others worked hard to attend Harvard. However, within time he dropped out to pursue his interest in computers. Eventually, that lead to his success as a billionaire for Microsoft. More than 90% of the computers we use today are made by Microsoft. This shows how he impacted many people in the world. His success in the computer industry is a reason. Why people find him empowering to look up to. Not to mention, with the money he earns, he uses it to support different causes around the world. One of the many things he does is reducing the burden of the neglected infectious diseases on the world’s poorest people. The fact that Bill Gates helped save people from going into hunger and poverty makes him a very generous and caring person.
On the Gates Foundation Website, it states that their “Global Development Division works to help the world’s poorest people lift themselves out of hunger and poverty” (Bill). Bill Gates wants every person in the world to have sustainable futures. This is why Gates and his foundation are willing to help anyone in need of assistance. He has also been helping out with an infectious diseases called Malaria. Malaria is a disease caused by parasites transmitted by mosquitoes. Malaria mainly occurs in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia and even though this is a terrible conflict to be in right now many are super lucky to have the Gates foundation helping out and making it their top priority. Overall, Bill Gates is an ethical person. He does many good deeds, so how can you not like this guy? He speaks for the benefit of others, he empowers and inspires, and he is humble. These are three main components of why people should not abhorrence him. When you think of capitalism, you think of unethical old white rich men in business suits that only care of taking your money, but as I done all this research I noticed that not all of those old men are unethical. Some of the men are unethical and ethical but most are ethical, such as Bill

The free enterprise system is a debatable topic because it allows for competition in the business market, which may or may not work in everyones favor. A good example would be Bill Gates, in which the enterprise system worked successfully for him and helped him become a billionaire. In a free enterprise system, producers decide everything about their products or services, including their prices, ingredients, and what they choose to do with their profits. This also gives freedom to consumers to make their own economical choices. This has allowed businesses to engage in competition, and has been beneficial to many, especially Bill Gates.
Undeniably, Gates put in a tremendous amount of effort to reach success. The next principle that Malcolm Gladwell emphasizes in his book is hard work. Once a person is given the opportunities to become the best, what will distinguish the people who will rise to the top are those who work much harder. Gladwell coins the phrase, “10,000 hours,” as the magic number of time it takes of hard work to reach greatness. Without 10,000 hours of practice, no matter how much luck and opportunity is given, one cannot reach the top level. Musicians, including Mozart, have only reached their potential after practicing for ten thousand hours. As a violinist, this principle is clear; when I practice more, I play better and am able to learn more. The more practice we put in, the better we will be. As a college student, it is important to stay on task and master 10,000 hours of whatever that student strives to be good at. It is important to learn this lesson as freshmen so that we can delve into our studies, practices, games and work and hit our

Bill Gates’ successes set a good example for those who want to make a difference in the world, it shows them success is possible with hard-work and determination. Gates also had other companies that he founded, one of which is a digital image company called Corbis, he also recently invested in Comcast and web tv’s ( Bill Gates Fast Facts). Gates is dedicated to the idea that technology is going to continue to grow and expand. Bill Gates states that, “ like the tv, the radio and newspaper, the internet is a very powerful medium that businesses can use to establish a brand, provide information, sell products, and communicate with customers.” Gates thinks that microsoft is one program that companies can purchase and use to host their site ( Bill Gates). Gates’s idea regarding philanthropy due to the fact that upon setting up his foundation in 2000, he already was aware of the widespread criticism of existing programs to help the less fortunate. Moreover, successful programs, such as the Green Revolution, were overshadowed by growing awareness of their negative side effects on the environment and local cultures. Mr. Gates had growing awareness of such limits sparking new ideas on how businesses could approach poor countries. However, there is little evidence of benefit from the $2.3 trillion given in foreign aid over the past five decades. For example, all the aid given to Africa over the years has failed to stimulate economic growth on the continent. One might argue that there are just as many needy individuals in America, why not try to critically think of way to innovate to embody the struggling Americans, rather than poor countries around the
Just because leaders are able to get their employees to follow them and their company to produce a profit, means they should be considered admirable. I feel that ethics plays a large role in how an individual should be viewed. Bill Gates actually left Microsoft because he felt he could do more with his wealth by giving it to charity. Bill and his wife have opened up different foundations to support education, health, and low-income

So here I present you the path that gave us the Bill Gates we have today. All in all Mr. Gates is one of many great Americans, who achieved a lot for our world. If Gates continues to support school and charity, and Microsoft develops further equipment, the world will be a saver and richer world. Who knows, maybe we will live in space in the next 100 years thanks to Microsoft and their computer technology. If Gates had not founded Microsoft or did not do what he did, the world would still teach with chalk and would have to read books to get information. As Gates once said, when he was asked, what his greatest fear for the future would be "... there'll be some really bad things that'll happen in the next 50 or 100 years, but hopefully none of them on the scale of, say, a million people that you didn't expect to die from a pandemic, or nuclear or bioterrorism ( News) ."
