When someone hears of Hell’s Angels, Sons of Thunder, and Hellfighers; what comes to their mind? Most think of devilish, rude beings that are a menace to society and are unsafe on the roads others drive on. The media, video games, and people have made accusations against biker groups to shape them that way. Most groups consist of individuals looking for a family they never had or to spread the word to others about how their lives changed by joining the group. One would know if someone was in a biker group by seeing them in a leather jacket with their name and other patches, including a ginormous patch of their group on the back of it. They are usually found as a pack driving with each other. They are parked in the same area at bike shows or community service events. Bikers face the dangers of having a wreck on the street. That showed how moneyless the people were on that side of town. When getting out of my car, I was met with smiles from the HellFighters. This dismissed the statement that they are rude and selfish people. I walked over and introduced myself to Robert Wagner, the president of the HellFighters of Monroe, and his wife, Millie. He was wearing a leather jacket with a cross on it, which symbolized that this was a Christian based biker organization. He talked to everyone there with a smile on his face and would occasionally put his hand on the shoulder of someone with both of their heads towards the ground. This went to show that they are very serious with trying to help change a person’s life by introducing something new that they might have never heard before they got to the event.
