Objective The objective of this study was to evaluate whether is openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, or is neuroticism these big 5 personality may have relationship with their mindful attention awareness or not. Methods The within-subject design was applied in this study. One hundred and twenty nine bachelor degree students were involved in this study. The Ten-Item Big 5 Personality Inventory was used to examine whether student is/are which big 5 personalities, and Mindful Attention Awareness Scale was used to examine students’ mindful attention awareness while doing questionnaire. Pearson Bivariate Correlations was used to analysis the difference between students with the big 5 personality and mindful attention awareness; linear regression was used to analysis the predictor variables and criterion variable. Result Students with openness personality or consciousness personality has positive relationship with their mindful attention awareness; people with extraversion personality, agreeableness personality, or neuroticism personality have no relationship with their mindful …show more content…

At least one type of personality in the big 5 inventory is available in people, different personalities can affect people’s daily life, such as their social interaction, moods[14], the mindful attention awareness also can be affected by people’s personality since different people their attention can be difference[2]. Mindful contains with how people attention to and awareness of the present moment, people with more openness personality have positive relationship with it[1 intro]. When people with more consciousness or neuroticism personality, they tend to have negative relationship with mindful attention awareness[1].
