Bees Should Be Protected Species

Bees should be a protected species because without bee’s pollens there won't be lots of new plants to grow and that could affect our crops and animal habitats.

Bees might be an annoyance but they are extremely important to our world. Without bees the

pollen from flowers the seed in the pollen wouldn’t reach the ground and wouldn’t grow. Pollen is

a fine to coarse powdery substance comprising pollen grains which are male

microgametophytes of seed plants, which produce male gametes (sperm cells). And without

male plant pollen new seeds couldn’t be formed because the seed needs half of a male

deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) to became a seed. And that where bee comes into place and carry

But fewer bees means the economy takes a hit.

Many people think of bees simply as a summertime nuisance.

But these amazing creatures are the reason we get to have all the great food that we have

because of these hard working insects.. From apples

to almonds to the pumpkin in our pumpkin pies, we have bees to thank. Now, a condition known

as Colony Collapse Disorder is causing bee populations to plummet, which means these foods

are also at risk. In the States alone, more than 25 percent of the managed honey bee

population has disappeared since 1990. Bees are one of a myriad of other animals, including

birds, bats, beetles, and butterflies, called pollinators. Pollinators transfer pollen and seeds from

one flower to another, fertilizing the plant so it can grow and produce food. Cross-pollination

helps at least 30 percent of the world’s crops and 90 percent of our wild plants to thrive.

Without bees to spread seeds, many plants including food crops would die off. A study from

cnn shows Honeybees and wild bees are the most important pollinators of many of the fruits and

vegetables we eat. Of 100 crop species that provide 90% of our global food supply, 71 are
