Whether these elderly, adults, teens or children are taken to a hospital, pediatrician, specialist, or clinic, a doctor and a nurse will tend to them. The nurse plays a role that is just as important as the doctor. Nurses work very closely with the families as part of the caring process. Every member of the family plays a role in different ways. The nurses are there to help the patient as well as the family step through the illness or injury. They provide information for the prevention of future illness and injury, and help to comfort the patient and his/her family. It is vital that a nurse understands that to be a nurse, you need a certain personality and understanding of the field.
Nurses are nice, caring, loving people that will try everything they can to help them get a better understanding of their symptoms. Nurses help their patients by explaining their symptoms in easier ways. Nurses are always listening to their patients to understand what their trying to say and so they know how their feeling. Registered nurses are loving people who love all their patients. People that want to become nurses need to have a loving heart and would love to help people out. As nursing is a career full of personal and practical awards. I want to be a little more than that. I want to be known as a hero in what I do. I want to join the Air Force Nurse Corps. The career of nursing is beneficial, because of the feeling you get when you’re helping someone in need and for the patient. Why I want to be a nurse? I have asked myself this question numerous times, and have come up with a variety of answers. I think that being a nurse just embodies the characteristics that I have innately had and characterizes the person I am now. Nursing is more than a profession to me; it encompasses my life in every aspect. Nursing challenges me, nothing is ever exactly the same each day. There are so many opportunities in nursing and so many ways to challenge myself and learn new things.
College is the main goal of my life. It is a life dream to go to college to get a degree and get a successful job. Everything that I have done until this point is to get to college. During my senior year I plan to apply to many colleges and to take the SAT's to get into college. My GPA and SAT scores will be crucial for me to get into college.
