A music producer has many roles like gathering ideas for the projects, selecting songs and/or session musicians, proposing changes to the song arrangements, coaching the artist and musicians in the studio, controlling the recording sessions, and supervising the entire process through audio. The basic pathway to obtain this career is you would need a bachelor’s degree in music to become a music producer. Becoming a music producer helps me express myself by making music and expressing my mood. Music can represent different moods people are in. Music fits me well because I enjoy listening to music and making my own music whether it's with music apps or instruments. Music production makes good money as well and it is a good career to pursue. In 2015 The Weeknd had huge success with releasing an album called Beauty Behind The Madness and a popular song called “Can’t Feel My Face”. I’ve always enjoyed listening to The Weeknd and his way of expressing himself with music. Abel Tesfaye is one of the biggest music producers in the world and he’s been an inspiration to many people trying or beginning to be a music producer. The reason I am doing the biography of Abel Tesfaye is because he is of the biggest in the world and he is an artist than can help me succeed my career by following his ways of producing music. The college that would help me pursue my career is San- Francisco State University. The reason i’ve chosen San Francisco State University is because it’s a good college with teaching music production and it's not far from my home in Oakland. It is a good college for the career I am trying to achieve. San Francisco State University is a good college for my career in music production because it’s a college that focuses on music. Applying to the San Francisco State University for freshman year requires is at least pass most of your classes with a C- in high
