Coming from a culture where art and creativity are highly taught has given me a love for the arts, but I never really grew to love writing. However, I did enjoy reading despite my struggle with reading at grade level. Since the age that I was able to dress myself, I have been in love with clothes, the styles, colors, textures, movements. In middle school was the time I started to get more serious about fashion and I wanted to become a fashion designer. My most important current literacy, blogging, has allowed me to develop my writing skills while also allowing me to express my creativity.
This is how I discovered the blogging world and how I got into it. It was also in middle school when I first got an Instagram and at this time it was

Writing become like a very very difficult chore that I'm forced to do when I do not care for the topic I'm being told to write about, but when it comes to blogging I'm able o write about anything I want I have the freedom to just express my thoughts without having to worry about not knowing what to talk about because I do not like the topic, it is the exact opposite of that. When I'm putting up a new blog I look forward to writing. Some of the bloggers that inspired me to start my own blog were ( ) after looking through there blogs and reading them I just knew I really really wanted to start one. Fashion blogging came into my life through Instagram and by the inspiration of other fashion bloggers. I felt that doing this could also help me develop my writing skills. I’ve heard that the more you write the better you can get at it. It has been a bit of a struggle at the time. But I do feel like doing this has helped me with my grammar and developing content that would interest an audience, while also being something that I find enjoyable to talk about and not a pain to type about. So not let me tell you a bit about what I so as a self-proclaimed fashion blogger. I started my fashion blog the summer of 2017 I had been thinking about it for months before that but couldn’t get myself to do it but once I did I absolutely loved it. What do you want your readers to away from reading your blog. What is your style of writing what is they style you want to present to the audience in a blog the words are not the only important part it is also about the visuals, the website you use, the complexity of navigating it, how it looks if its visually appeling of not. Blogging is an interesting typw of literacy beacauuse syou also have to learn not to make things attractive to your adudiance, to make people want to visit you blog more you have to make it easy for them as well as appealing and accessable. I have to admit Blogging is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I imagined it to be quite easy and fast, but it is quite a process specially when starteing up. Considerrign Im a full time college student, and I also work, it has not been esy for me to find the time to go out and obtain content for my blog. I had pictured blogging to be quick and easy, but arranging photoshoots is a lot harder when you can’t find free time. I had thought to myself well I think I will be posting on my blog twice a week maybe more, but no less than once a week. But unfortiunatly that has not been the case at all. Blogging is something that you really need to dedicate a lot of time too. At the moment my blogging gets updated at very different times ,
I used to have to take these tests about all the books I would read in school and I would always ace them all. I knew that reading was something I liked because I was always very intrigued by it. Also in middle school I found my true writing voice. I remember taking a creative writing class in six grade and I was always the student who wrote more than what was expected for my writing assignments. I would write stories about things such as my friends and the experiences that I had in school. Sometimes I would even write my own plays and in my plays the characters would be people in family and people from school. I would always try to make the plot super interesting in my plays. One time I wrote a play about my brothers and me traveling to space and finding aliens. Overall, I really fell in love with literacy throughout my middle school years because I was able to read books more at an advance level and I also was able to write more intense stories. Literacy has been a positive influence in my life all throughout my school
In 2008. Andrew Sullivan set out on a mission to break down the newer fad that was flooding into the Internet. That fad I am mentioning is blogging. By his definition, blogging is “ a log of thoughts and writing posted publicly on the World Wide Web”. I was astounded at the sheer depth that Mr. Sullivan goes into to expose and present every aspect that blogging has to offer. He describes it as a easily and readily accessible platform for any writer to express himself, without having to deal with publishers. I loved how he compared a blogger to a disk jockey, an individual who both writes and produces his work. It makes me wonder, could I do work such that is being described? Could a college student express himself and have many legitimate
The first thing about blogs that I discovered is that there isn’t one kind. A theory about the kinds of blogs that there are came from one of my classmates Adam who said that there were really three types of blogs. Adam puts blogs into three categories: Advertisement and non-personal informative, Personal, and The Hybrid.
How I use blogs? When one blogs, one shares trends which can become of situational awareness to others. For example, in 2012 in the Army Live blog, Lt. Gen. William B. Caldwell, then Commander of United States Army North - Fifth Army posted his thought about the inevitable change of the Army organizational culture, “there’s a powerful new technology to help us tell our Army story: social media. ”1 He mentioned Facebook, Twitter and Youtube as tools to tell the world the Army story.
What is a blog? Blog is a web-based writing space, an online journal, a virtual forum; it's self-maintained web page that provide a list of links to other web sites along with comments and critics about the links; it's a site containing chronologically ordered information, both personal and impersonal. It's something new - something that will change the way we write just like the way the invention of paper and printing press have influenced our culture. There are many ways to describe what the blog is or what it serves, but a single word can contain everything that blog represents; and that is 'LINK'. This link can be as small as a bridge between a person to another; but what blogging software such as the Movable Type provide is a virtual community where people of all ages, gender, and race come together and share ideas, give feedbacks to opinions of others, and to interact in a well-mannered way. The easy access to internet will draw more and more netizens to the blogosphere, thus the network of the bloggers will be global in near future. Furthermore, unlike a one-way information route that a paper-based publication takes, bloggers will give, take, and also combine ideas to construct a multiple lanes of interactive information to be reached out to ears and eyes of the bloggers at first, then to the netizens and eventually the whole world at large.
Blog – an article on the internet written by someone or a group about their experiences, opinions, thoughts, etc.
Most of your time preparing content is going to be spent looking for industry news, following any developments, reporting about innovations, and debating industry talk. 2. Personal Topics. There are numerous successful bloggers who don’t cover a specific topic at all, but they cover a variety of topics with humor. If you’re good at making others laugh, then go ahead and try a humor blog.

Ways to escape the world these days are hard to find. People use blogging as a form of release from the physical world. In a blog, there are no rules. According to the article “When Bloggers Came of Age”, Cooper states that there are no rules to blogging: All in all, I’ve revised my earlier views about the usefulness of blogging, moving full circle from my earlier position. Yes, there's still a lot of chaff out there, and it's the reader's responsibility to sift and choose. But in the best spirit of grassroots participation, these new information gatekeepers are helping to rewrite the rules. (Cooper)

If you haven't started your blog, keep reading. I highly recommend that you start your blog on Wordpress on your own domain, not through Wordpress.com. It costs under $10 per month if you host through Host Gator. You can set your blog up quickly and easily using their 1 click Wordpress set up. It takes about 10 minutes and you have your very own hosted website. Why do I suggest this? Because if you're serious about blogging and you're interested in earning any money through your blog, you'll want this at some point. You might as well do it right out of the gate. This way, you don't lose visitors if you switch to your own domain name. You also don't have to learn all the code for redirecting traffic or all that nonsense. Take it from me, you WANT your own domain name right away.
