Beauty of Columbus, OH

Columbus is the 15th largest city in the United States and is the capital of Ohio. It encompasses a ten county area and is the central city of the Ohio Metropolitan statistical area and is the 3rd largest metropolitan area in Ohio. It is also known as the 4th populated state capital in the United States. It is the county seat of Franklin County. The city is named after the explorer Christopher Columbus and was founded in 1812. It started functioning as the state capital in 1816.

Columbus has a diverse economy based on banking, insurance, government, education, fashion, food, clothes, logistics, steel, energy, health care, hospitality, technology, retail and defence. The world’s largest private research and development …show more content…

In the 18th century, the Fur trade attracted many European Traders to the Area. Columbus is usually caught between factions, including American Indian and European Interests. In 1740, the French forcibly evicted the Pennsylvania traders, who over ran the territory until then. George Washington was sent for surveying Ohio Country by Ohio company, in the early 1750s. The international Seven years war also included the fight for control of the territory in the French and Indian War. It was then, when the Columbus region suffered massacres, battles and Turmoils.

Eddie Rickenbacker led a team of six Columbus pilots and achieved 42 kills, which is ten percent of the United States aerial victory in the war and is more than the aviators of any other American
