Beautiful disaster is an adult novel written by Jamie McGuire. The novel revolves around the love story of Abby Abernathy and Travis Maddox.

Abby, a 19-year-old girl that in a try to escape her past, arriving to Eastern university with her best friend America. There, she meets Travis through his cousin Shepley, which dates America. What starts as an attempt to keep everyone satisfied by not getting involved with Travis soon turns into a messy, complicated and emotionally draining prolonged fight that ends with an epic love story.

When Abby attends one of his fights with America and Shepley, she gets lost in the crowd and ends up at the edge of the ring, close enough to get blood splattered onto her sweater when Travis's opponent gets hurt. As the fight's over with Travis winning, he notices Abby, From that moment on something changes. He doesn't know what but he feels it. A quick talk between the two leads Travis to name her Pigeon, a nickname that becomes an earmark.
Now, for the first time in his life Travis is faced with a challenge. He always had it easy with the ladies, but Abby's different. From the moment he lays eyes on her, he sets himself a goal- Abby belongs with him, and he's going to get her. Abby and Travis get into a journey in which they start as friends, but as time is passing by it's getting harder and harder to ignore their feelings. But as you get to know him you learn just how much faitful, loving, caring and thoughtful he really is. Travis will always have your back, he loves hard and he doesn't forget to show it. All of these are just a taste of all of the qualities that made me fall for Travis. But to me, the most amazing thing about him is that even though he was lost for his entire life, even though he never felt love, when love came along he wasn't afraid to take the leap. He jumped, and it was a long way down. Travis fell and Abby was there to catch him. And that's why I believe it's called falling in love. He took the chance, and every bruise he earned in the way was worth it. That's why Travis is the one character I relate to the
