EXT. TOWN-BEACH, DAY
It is a Cold, Misty, pebble beach
Sound of wind and waves

Back ground: WOMAN standing on a headland looking out to the misty sea, OLD MEN sit in dinghies fishing offshore. Foreground: Rocks of beach and waves of sea. The sound of the waves of sea can be heard. Then the Crunch of boots on rocks can be heard as two pairs of legs interrupt the scene and camera focusses on two boys walking across beach towards a wharf, wearing Boots, Jeans, Flannel shirts and beanies. BIGGIE’s face is ‘unlovely’ and pear shaped with a lazy eye

KEVIN: I’m goin’ nut’s here! I’m fed up with the meat-works, fed up with this place and this weather. Packing those skins at the meat-works today drew the line! Lets go up north, mate, find some blue sky! Can’t you see yourself sitt’n under a mango tree, cold beer! …show more content…

A world where it isn’t bloody raining all the time! This is it, mate, freedom. No body knows us and nobody cares.

BIGGIE: Just us and the Love Machine!

KEVIN: And Mango’s, is there anything sexier than a mango!
BIGGIE and KEVIN laugh and giggle.

Noise of the VW, boiling in the sun, interrupts and KEVIN and BIGGIE sheepishly pull of they’re beanies. Hot wind from the windows rip through they're hair and the screen fades to black.

3. EXT. BP, DAY

Camera panning over a dusty country town, focuses on the VW at a BP then on KEVIN. KEVIN is standing, holding a old rusty public phone, sound of crying and wailing of MOTHER over the phone can be heard. KEVIN gazes out around the town.

MOTHER: Kevin you can’t just through your life away like this, what plan do you have for your future? …

KEVIN hangs up and casually walks back to the VW. BIGGIE is filling the VW with petrol and is talking with MEG; a tall girl, with shiny brown hair, big knees, not very beautiful or smart, and has a giant Backpack. She’s wearing a sweaty purple tank top, shorts and sneakers. MEG is holding a map out alongside
