1) How long have you been interested in playing basketball?
Initially I started playing basketball for fun at a young age with TYBL. My first love was football, but my body changed from stocky to lanky. My dad got excited because basketball is his first love so a few years ago I started getting serious about playing. I joined a travel team and got some private coaching by my dad.
2) Are there any professional players that you look up to? Who and Why?
The first professional basketball player I looked up to was Michael Jordan. He has been very inspirational to me personally because of his skill and work ethic. His success he has made throughout his life makes me want to be successful. I push myself to become a better basketball player because he inspires me to work harder on and off the court.

I would say one of the more important things to do at practice is push yourself to become better. Whenever you work hard at practice it helps transition into how well you perform in a game. The main I go by is “hard work pays off” because when you work hard in practice it pays off when your improvement shows during games.
4) How does the mood at practice differ from the mood at a game?
I would say my mood in practice at times can be like “I don’t feel like being here” but then you realize, “I practice because helps me become a better” which leads to a better game time performance. For basketball players their game time mood is hyped up and they realized “this is reason why I practiced hard, It was to make to this game.”
5) Have you gotten to know your teammates well?
Yes, I know my teammates very well. I would say we get along with each other like family. We’re a squad I have their back and I know they have my
Michael Jordan can say he has had an amazing career and accomplished many things in his life. From his childhood to adulthood, he has done remarkable things. Most people hope to have a life and career like
Michael Jordan, what comes to your mind when you hear that name? Michael had played for the bulls and had gotten 6 championship rings with the team. Well, is it just me or does that sound like a lot of time in the game of basketball? In 1982 he took a big step up from highschool to college, where he wanted to pursue the basketball dream. He went to college at North Carolina where he played NCAA basketball for just one year before he was drafted in 1984. All eyes were on him when he went on the court, because that just how good he was at the game of basketball. Michael Jordan is one of the greatest players in NBA history, maybe even the greatest of all time.
Jordan helped revolutionize the game of basketball, the marketing brand of the NBA, and became one of the most recognizible humans on the face of the Earth. Through the Civil Rights movement, America's involvement in the Cold War, and a period of transition in America, Michael Jordan entered the NBA at a time of cultivation. All the hard work that Jordan did through his life, and all the hard work society did to progress as a whole colloborated in the 1980's, and allowed Michael Jordan to become a revolutionary. Michael Jordan is an iconic symbol of not just basketball, but American change and progress and it's influence throughout the world.
He is one of the greatest NBA players of all time, and he also has built, and will continue to build, a great legacy off the court. He truly is amazing, there are no words to describe him. He has inspired many to rise up and be like him. He, like everyone, is part hero and part villain. He is the Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant.
Jordan's importance to the game of Basketball and the Sports Industry in general is extremely significant. Michael Jordan single-handedly shaped and molded the Chicago Bulls into a winning organization. Jordan’s legacy will forever live on as, the most popular, successful, and greatest NBA player of all time. He has done all of this in his lifetime, while dealing with constant adversity, his life experiences have helped mold him into a humble man, who is constantly chasing greatness in everything he
Derrick always tells me never to be selfish because not everyone is as blessed as us. Hope you guys got to see what an amazing person Derrick Rose is in on and off the court. In conclusion, I'm sure that everyone has someone inspiring in their lives, but I couldn’t have asked for a better role model in my life. The impact that he has on not only his family, but the world is something that amazes me every day. He always finds ways to give back to the community and make the community better.
...an most coaches could even dream of. The guy is a winner, competitor, disciplinarian, and most importantly a great individual. Oh, and he may just be the greatest college basketball coach of all-time!
“If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has them, but obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb, go through, or work around it.” (Michael Jordan) Michael Jordan is definitely an influential person because of his impact on basketball, his impact on youth through his name brand, and through the support of charities.
Another person that has influenced me is an entrepreneur and retired professional Hall of Fame basketball player Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan is not only a retired professional basketball player that went to the University of North Carolina but he also hosted a numerous of basketball camps to give children the opportunity to live out their dreams. Mr. Jordan stated. “If you 're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I 've had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don 't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don 't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it” (“Quotes by Michael Jordan”). Ten years ago I came across a rerun of a Michael Jordan press conference telling the world that he is retiring from the NBA because his father was murdered and he had no longer love the game of basketball. I had always found Mr. Jordan basketball skills to be remarkable and had been very interested and why people praise him highly. I found Michael Jordan and his documentaries to be very enlightening and I love to watch videos of him play basketball because I wanted to be like him. I notice that he loves playing basketball because his documentary mentions he hates losing. Not only did Michael Jordan seem passionate about basketball, but he also talked about more than just basketball and hoping to educate younger people that he has dealt with adversity to get to the NBA. When he said that he did not love basketball
John wooden a former player and later became a basketball coach once said. “A coach much never forget that he is a leader and not merely a person with authority.” Basketball has been something in our everyday lives for a while. To allot it something they just can't live without and others just choose to not even bother with it. I think that it is worth the time to look more into basketball. Basketball can be started at a elementary school level, and they can usually go to sign up at local boys and girls clubs maybe at their school if they offer it and can even join through their church if they attend one and they offer it to them. Being a coach seems easy to most parents but it really isn't how it isn't is a coach must ensure that players
Michael Jordan is considered, by many, to be the greatest basketball player of all-time. However many do not know who he is as a person, or what he has contributed to basketball. Michael Jordan may be the greatest basketball player of all-time, but he is much more than a basketball player. He has contributed to many different charities, he was a baseball player, and he is a golfer. He is a champion off the court just as much as he was on the court to many people who receive donations from him. Jordan was a champion on the basketball court, but he is still a champion in the hearts of many off the court.
It happened watching it on television seeing all the great players such as Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon and Larry Bird. The most important influence would have had to been my mother who in her younger years played basketball for the Canadian junior national team. It was when she was playing at the gym I would tag along and just play around. Although I played both basketball and hockey until grade seven it just seemed I was better suited for basketball. With that rate that I had been growing at I was taller and with all the help that I received from my mom I had developed basketball wise much faster than many of the other children my age.
Basketball seems to get into your blood. It is said by those who play, "You eat, you sleep and you play basketball." When I was a little girl all I wanted to be was a professional basketball player. I couldn't count how many times I pounded that dumb ball in our driveway until it was too dark to see, then I would play for hours more by the porch light. Now I realize that was only childish insanity. Back then they didn’t even have a girls’ profession basketball league in the states. However, that didn't stop me from walking away empty handed. One thing I learned was how to prepare oneself for life. Well, at least, how to prepare oneself for a game.
Being part of the basketball clique in high school helped me learn the intrapersonal and social communication skills I use today. As a child playing basketball was my favorite activity or hobby. It's also the way I met a lot of my good friends that I have now. All my close friends I have met. I have met them through playing basketball.. Whether they were on my team, the opposing team or just fans in the crowd who admired my play. Not only has basketball helped me gain friends, but basketball also taught me a lot about life. There are many aspects of life that coincide with basketball. For instance basketball is a team game and an individual game. Like in life you have to work together with other people. The communication skills I learned from basketball helped me communicate with friends, girlfriends, parents and bosses at work.
Basketball is one of the interesting sports I have always wanted to engage myself even as a little child. It was a dream come true when I started playing basketball in my high school. Moreover, I was very good in it, and I became the team leader. Of course, I enjoyed every bite of the time I spent playing basketball. My participation in basketball, has had numerous effects on my life, and these are physical, personal and social.
