I have a special person in my life that inspires me to better. Throughout my life I’ve had people inspire me but no one inspired me like my cousin Derrick Rose. He taught me that dreams do come true if you try hard and never give up. I’m sure we all have family members that encourage us to do well in life, but he did more than that he motivated me and showed me what success is when he became the youngest MVP in the NBA. Today I would like to talk about that inspirational person, my cousin derrick rose. My cousin Derrick Rose taught me to stay humble and never be selfish. Even though I barely seem him due to his crazy schedule we still stay in touch and I know I can count on him for whatever. Every holiday we get together and catch up and joy our time together. He has also taught me some life lessons, but only three have stuck with me. Those life lessons are always stay humble, family is everything and never be selfish. Derrick being a basketball player and always being in the spotlight has always remained humble and never let fame change who he is. Every chance that he gets he tells me to always stay humble because everything you have today you may not have tomorrow. He’s a huge family guy, to him family is everything. He makes sure that his family never need anything. He tells me to always watch out for family because at the end of the day that’s all we got. Derrick always tell me never to be selfish because not everyone is as blessed as us. Hope you guys got to see what an amazing person Derrick Rose in on and off the court.
In conclusion I'm sure that everyone has someone inspiring in their lives but I couldn’t have asked for a better role model in my life. The impact that he has on not only his family but the world is something that amazes me every day. He always finds ways to give back to the community and make the community better.
